the really anoying thing is in order for us to be able to enjoy futurama we are required to buy the dvds and are therfore supporting fox against our will by giving money to them for a show they refuse to keep spending money on THOSE BASTARDS

Yeah - I'll watch FOX when they have something interesting on, but that also means I won't be watching much FOX.  In the foreseeable future, I will watch at least the first couple "Tru Calling"s because of Eliza Dushku, but otherwise they don't have anything on that I care about.

FOX has had thier share of great shows in the past, but their recent turn towards soap opera game shows is of no interest to me.  I would probably like "24", but I never remember to watch it at the first of the season, and the nature of the show makes me think that picking it up later on is a lost cause.

On the flip side of the question, Futurama helped me discover Cartoon Network.  I am a regular viewer of various shows on CN that I might otherwise never have seen specifically because they started showing Futurama reruns.

I will watch FOX, but I'll be less tolerant to their shows if they aren't really good. (Simpsons and possibly 24 excluded.)

I've given up on "The Simpsons" as of right now. Maybe, maybe, I might watch an episode if nothing else is on and have some hankering to watch television. But it's nothing that I'll go out of my way for, anymore.

I starting getting back into "That 70s Show," at the end of last season. I'm not sure if I'll continue to watch in the fall, because I don't watch much prime-time tv when I'm in college.

I know the UPN station here reruns both of those shows, so, for now, I won't need FOX. And I hardly even watch "The Simpsons" in syndication anymore.

The only things i've ever watched on Fox was the simpsons, Futurama, and The 3rd Rock from the sun re runs. Now seeing as 2 are gone, I dont see any point in watching, especially considering the simpson's current state.

Yeah, but you didn't miss five minutes of the show to see doppler radar of an area 30 miles away. Grrrrrrr.

Luckily, I have "magic" ways of watching those missing five minutes.   :D

I still think the Simpsons are funny, but not as good.  They could be much, much better but once ina while a really good one will come along.  Still, I'd give it up for Futurama any day.

Oh, not another "magic" thingy!  I'm allergic to magic!

So far I'm 10 years and counting with "The Critic". (wasn't that FOX' fault too?)

sure whats there to be bitter about i mean theyve only cancelled a brilliant show that they never gave a real chance to nor showed it much respect the way they constantly moved it around to suit everything else while still making a profit from its loyal fanbase.

Well, we aren't just mad at them for cancelling the show. Oh my no.  They hated since it started.  They won't even show reruns after every episode has aired.  And worst of all it's being replaced by crap and reality shows and whatnot.  And then there's still not very much to watch on it (for me anyway).  So yes, we are extremely mad at them for cancelling Futurama, but it's not only that, it's also the principal of the thing.  They don't even give it a chance.  I'm sure any other quality show on fox will go through the same thing.  There are becoming less and less good networks, and those are the ones who give shows a chance cause they've got nothing to lose.  They take risks, which is a good thing most of the time.  God bless those networks!

No, Catbert wouldn't have axed the show, but forced the animators to share one paintbrush until they went postal and halted production on the show anyway.

The only Fux shows I've ever given a rip about are "Futurama," and "Married With Children." MWC is in the can; history.
Alas, Futurama will join it all too soon.
What galls me is that Fux had a vendetta agianst Futurama from the start: They never gave the show a chance. Why? MG & Co. made it a better show by ignoring Fux's "suggestions."
Which leads to a large number of "It-could-have-been's." <*Sigh*>
  :(

But to the question:

In a word: Why?
As soon as TDHAIP airs, I will no longer have reason to watch anything Fux airs.
Which is a good thing...
  :evillaugh:
'Reality shows'? <Yawn.>
Simpsons? 'Lost interest years ago.
Banzai? Puh-leeze! You're kidding, right?

I shudder to think what's next!

If Fux airs a show that's actually good for a change, there's a chance I might watch; but I'll have a whale of a hard time forgiving them for treating Futurama like second-hand kitty-litter.

'Scuse me, I must turn down my thermostat a few hundred degrees... again...

I dont think I could stomach watching FOX, the Simpson suck now, one of the slowest and most agonizing deaths of a show since married with childeren.  Most of the other shows on FOX are reality shows, well, thats also every other station in the US.

Insufficient information. Is this hypothetical show any good?
If Fux's latest offerings are an indication, not flamin' likely!

Carson Daly is sort of a music host guy who's been at billions of places but never seems to stay with one.  He's a celeb and I don't hate him but apparently fry2006 does...

Carson Daly ought to be shot. There, I said it. He ought to be shot. He panders to 12 yr old N*Sync fans and doesn't deserve his own show, let alone 3 of them.

After seeing the promos, I don't think I can force myself to watch it.  They set a new record for annoyance.  Usually, when ads come on, I hit Mute, look away, and think about the show.  Now I have to exert self-control to avoid throwing the remote at the TV.

Aside from Futurama (all hail!) I haven't seen anything on Fox I'd spend two minutes with.  I'm outta there.

Like so many, I don't have Fox, although Sky One is an arm of the same evil global megacorporation.

Though I'll still watch them because they're the only channel that hoovers up all the half decent American telly.

Though all their own programs are absolute wank, mind you.
