Havn't had one for a while...basically there's no new Futurama scheduled until at least the 27th...there's going to be a repeat of 300 Big Boys tonight, and then some seriously screwed up reruns. Sky are still showing Futurama three times a day on Saturday and Sunday though, so I guess that's good news...if you like seeing the same episode three times   :)
No episodes on C4 for now.

Sky 1 Schedule:

Saturday 12th:
9:30 AM - Bender Gets Made
1:00 PM - The Problem With Popplers
8:00 PM - 300 Big Boys

Sunday 13th:
9:30 AM - The Problem With Popplers
12:00 PM - Mother's Day
7:00 PM - A Big Piece of Garbage

Saturday 19th:
9:30 AM - Mother's Day
1:00 PM - The Honking
8:00 PM - A Big Piece of Garbage

Sunday 20th:
9:30 AM - The Honking
1:00 PM - War is the H-Word
7:00 PM - Hell is Other Robots

Saturday 26th:
9:30 AM - Mother's Day
1:00 PM - The Honking
8:00 PM - A Big Piece of Garbage

Edit: Oh Cr*p. Someone please move this to general discussion...sorry  :)

There was a three week delay between FOX and Sky airing the new episodes.  Going by that, expect "Spanish Fry" on August 3rd, and possibly, just possibly, "The Devil's Hands..." on August 31st.

Wouldn't Spainish Fry be on the 27th?

sheep555 said that a new episode is on the 27th so wouldn't that episode be Spainish Fry or have Sky screwed that up a bit?

sheep555 said no new Futurama episode was scheduled until at least the 27th.  Which means it might be even later than that.  My guess is August 3rd.

rev, start saving your pennies, because the DVDs/videos will be out long, long before the later episodes air on C4.

Yes, Sky One put 300 Big Boys on again on Saturday, and then decided to randomly show A Big Piece Of Garbage on Sunday, which is annoying, cause I wanted to see another new episode.

I wasn't a random choice, Sky have been showing season 1 episodes in order between the gaps of the new episodes, they can't go ahead of Fox.
This weekend is obviously Hell is Other Robots (one of my all time favourites). This will continue until Spanish Fry is shown, then we should be on a straight run of the last few episodes ever!

I'll just wait for the DVDs then. They're cheaper than Sky.

Looks like we got lucky. According to Radio Times "Spanish Fry" is scheduled for the 27th. Unfortunately I can't double-check this with DigiGuide because they're *£$&"&*£$ search function is limited to 10 matches, and the latter two showings on the 27th are obscured.

Which gives...
Sunday 27th:
9:30 AM   The Cryonic Woman
1:00 PM   Parasites Lost
7:00 PM   Spanish Fry

You can find out via the single channel view page on DigiGuide, and this is where is gets very, very confusing...

DigiGuide

Erm...

I've always gone with Radio Times...it's possible that Sky were planning to show A Flight To Remember, but then were told they could show Spanish Fry, and decided to do so. Or it could be possible they were planning to show Spanish Fry, and changed their mind. Wouldn't be the first time...

If C4 do what they did last year, they'll start showing season 4 (and hopefully show I Dated A Robot from season 3 too) in September. Last year they said July originally, but put it back, so it would end just before Christmas.

But their Futurama page doesn't say anything about them showing it yet.

I would cut them some slack though - they're only about 18 months behind Sky at the moment, whereas BBC are 4-5 years behind with The Simpsons.

But that's explainable, as I thought the BBC's license on The Simpsons only extends to Season 11 or so, and the seasons after that are licensed to Channel 4. Or at least that's what I heard.

Yes, but both C4 and the BBC have agreements with Sky stating that their episodes must be shown four seasons after Sky has shown them. Futurama is worth less to the networks than The Simpsons, so it can be shown earlier. New Simpsons episodes are one of the biggest draws to Sky TV...new Futurama isn't so important to the channel.

By the way, sheep, did you look at the ratings for the top ten on Sky One for the most recent week?

1 THE SIMPSONS (Thu 1900)  0.83
2 THE SIMPSONS (Sun 1830)  0.77
3 THE SIMPSONS (Wed 1932)  0.75
4 THE SIMPSONS (Sat 1930)  0.73
5 THE SIMPSONS (Mon 1900)  0.70
6 THE SIMPSONS (Mon 1932)  0.63
7 FUTURAMA (Sun 1900)  0.62
8 THE SIMPSONS (Wed 1900)  0.60
9 THE SIMPSONS (Tue 1859)  0.59
10 THE SIMPSONS (Sun 1800)

Sky One's really in danger of turning into "The Simpsons Channel"  ;).

At least Futurama broke the run. The ratings would probably be higher if Sky were not being screwed around by FOX, IMHO.

100% agree with you - when Sky were running the S5 without interruption during Feb / March, Futurama was coming in the top three, getting nearly 1 million viewers...but as soon a Fox stopped showing new episodes, viewers in the UK (in my opinion) just assumed the season had ended.

I was reading a review on the series in one of the old Sky Magazines from a few months back and checked the time they mentioned (Sun 7:00pm) and they showed The Series Has Landed episode so I was one of the many that thought the series had finished.

Just thought I'd point out that DigiGuide have now changed their listing to "Spanish Fry", so it look's like we're getting it on the 27th.  :D

Just to check (assuming Sky show in the order of FOX and continously):

27th July : Spanish Fry
3rd August : Bend Her
10th August : Obsoletely Fabulous
17th August : Bender Should Not Be Allowed On TV
24th August : The Devil's Hands are Idol Playthings

Yikes. In just over a month it'll all be over even over here.  :(

I'm afraid so. Sky and C4 have the only rights to it in the UK and I believe CN UK is a separate entity with the same brand as CN (much like until recently EB UK was separate to EB).

CN US is owned by AOL Time Warner, whereas I think CN UK is a company in it's own right (but I'm not sure). Either way, they only have rights for US syndication.

By the way, sheep, as you seem to know a lot more than I do about Sky, do you have any idea why they only show one new Simpsons every three weeks on average? Not that it's really that much of an issue, but I find it strange especially since the re-runs are beating out brand new episodes.

It's an advertising thing...by showing the new (S14) Simpsons episodes every two / three weeks, they can make a whole season last one year. Thus, they can accuratly claim they are always showing "Brand New Simpsons"...even if only once every three weeks. Because Sky rarely advertise when the new Simpsons eps will be shown, people tune in anyway, boosting ratings. Also, IMHO the re-runs are better than the S14 eps   :)

Edit: Not worth bumping up yet, but Futurama will be shown on C4 (although it is a repeat) on August 7th at 9:30 AM. Once I find out if there are any more to come, I'll bump this back up.
