The idea is this: I personally try to limit the amount of times I watch an episode in a given space of time, as I find it diminishes my viewing pleasure. Having said that, I always watch them at least twice, as I often find they are actually better the second time. I know a lot of people just watch them again and again, but I want to know if some of you are more like me, and try to space them out. By the way, I'm talking about episodes you own on video or DVD, obviously ...

I wouldn't like to think.  They should bring out DVD players that count this sort of thing.

Heh heh heh, 'PEE Poll.'
I've practically memorized every line from Season 1, thanks to the DVDs and Cartoon Network.

It varies, depending on the episode, but I'd say I watch each of them at least 5 times.

Two things:
1) The great thing about futurama is no matter how many times you watch them you are always likely to see something new.
2) The great thing about DVD is the addition of audio commentaries so thats another repeat veiwing.

A lot. If you count times I've watched with commentary, about 15+.

Is this the first time you've noticed this? Every poll says "PEE Poll".

On average, i'd say that i've seen each episode about 8-10 times. Although i'm sure i've seen some as many as 15-20. And there may be a few I seen less. But i'm sure there is no episode that I've watched less than 4 times.

I've watched some eps a lot more then others, especially the older ones simply because they've been around longer. But I've seen them all many times, at least 4 times, and some probably about 20 I guess  :)

Varies. Some episodes I've only seen a handful of times. Some episodes I've seen 30+ times.

I have no idea how many times I've seen "Roswell That Ends Well" and "Xmas Story", but it's closer to three digits than 1 digit.

As much as I can.  But I don't watch the DVDs that much, because I like to wait for it to air on CN so I'm craving for it.  Oh, and if that reason isn't cheesy nuff, I don't have the easiest schedule.  Still, I give no arguement when one of my buds comes over and asks to watch.  It's like you can watch it over and over and not get sick of it.  The jokes are always funny and the emotional eps always make you cry.

Depends what episode it is. Using season 1 as an example I'm more likely to watch Love's Labours Lost In Space over and over than I am Fear Of A Bot Planet.

i will generally watch an ep 3-5 times the night it airs. and then every day following i will rewatch anywhere between 1-3 times until the next new ep airs. These numbers vary depending on how much i like the ep. The Sting was rewatched many more times then average and thats lobstertainment was rewatched much less then average. And this only covers full watchings, i also will rewatch certain scenes over and over but i can't even begin to count those.

It depends on the episode really some more than 20, some I've seen less than 5 even though I have them on DVD.

It depends.  Usually I'll watch an episode 4-5 times in the week after it airs, because different members of my family want to see it at different times.

After that it goes into the metaphorical archive until I get the urge to watch it again.

When I get new DVDs, I watch all the episodes with commentary, then without, then once again leave them until I want to see them again.

The end result is that I've seen "The Farnsworth Parabox" five times this week, whereas I haven't seen "Fry & the Slurm Factory" in over a year.

I'm like PCC Fred, when I get a new episode I'll watch it quite a few times. When I get a new DVD I will watch every episode in order twice and then with commentary.

Then I just watch episodes when I feel like watching them.

i watch all the episodes in a cycle going over the three seasons. i watch at least one a day, and can't get to sleep without one playing in the background. I guess around 30-40 each for season 1 and 2, 10-20 for season three and over 100 for "I,Roomate".

Some eps Ive watched 2 or 3 times and the older eps Ive watched about 10+ proabably averages out at around 7, although some scenes Ive seen 100+ times like the steam room scene or the naked congo line.

Mmmm, Professor Farnsworth has such a hot ass!  :p

But, seriously - I'd say that it depends on what episode it is. Episodes like Bendin' In The Wind I've only seen about 5 or 6 times, while good episodes like Time Keeps On Slippin' I've seen well over 20 times.

...hmmm
I try to watch new episodes not more than 2 times a day after they got aired....which is most time very hard. :-)
By now I think I saw every episode (with a few exceptions like "a pharao to remember"...) about 20 times or more.....

I've seen most episodes several times by now, how ever, like many have said before, it does depend on how good the episode is.
I watched "the cyronic woman" only two or three times...

Of the recent episodes, I watched The Sting the most often. I guess about 10-15 times in the first  two weeks after it was aired. The only episodes which I probably have watched less than 20 times are some of season 5 (the F. Parabox, Less Than Hero, 300 Big Boys, even The Why of Fry I havent's seen that often yet). Soon I'll have much less free time than I have had in the last few years and I guess my watched episodes per week will become fewer.

Do you think the less good episodes get better the second time? I do. I aso think the good ones get better the second and sometimes the third time, then they start to slide, hence my limiting the number of times I watch them.
