I remember one morning probably early 1999, I was having breakfast getting ready for school and my Dad told me that Matt Greoning was making a new show (he knew I was a big Simpsons fan) Then I saw an interview with Greoning on channel 4s The Big Breakfast. It basically gave out all the info you'll get on the Season 1 DVD featurette. I remember I was instantly interested in the sci fi concepts of the show. Unfortunatly at the time I didn't have Sky Digital (we had it installed about two years ago). I remember waiting to see it on channel 4 whilst my friends at school (those who had Sky) kept telling me how funny and cool Futurama was. After months of waiting for channel 4 to start showing it I was rewarded. I remember it premiered at about 9:30 one evening with a short promo feature playing before the first episode. Ever since I saw Space Pilot 3000 I have religiously watched and rewatched every episode.

I didn't like the idea when I first heard about it. At the time I never had high hopes for TV series' that began with "F." Then I read the premiseses for the first season in I Can't Believe Its A Bigger And Better Updated Unoffical Simpsons Guide and I thought "This doesn't sound half bad." Then I watched the first episode on Channel 4 and I've been consistently watching one way or another for the past nearly 3 years.

When I saw "The Series Has Landed" I was hooked. Loved the animation, the jokes and the format.
ofcourse a certain one-eyed alien babe didn't hurt either.
Didn't see SP3K until 3 months later, when I finally acquired it.

I had heard about when it came out and didn't watch it. Then my friend told me how funny it was and I still didn't watch it. Then, on one fatefull night, I happened to turn on CN and see a tale of two santas... and that's how I got hooked.

I still remember a promo spot withh Matt drawing Bender on the camera lens and giving a brief summation of the character ("He's a bad character, kids. Don't be like Bender." or something to that effect.) I was actually pretty surprised when I saw the piolt, 'cause that promo had given me the impression Bender was going to be a villian. haha i remember that commercial! Anyways i remember i watched it when it first came on and then i stopped watching it for a while and then everytime i tried to watch it, it was premited by a football game. Then when i heard it was going to be on CN, i was excited b/c i was like yay! i can watch it now, and i've been hooked ever since!
