I had subscribed to an opinion survey site some time ago, and today they sent me a new survey. Usually I would delete it without a second thought, but it had FOX in the subject topic. I opened it up and it was a survey about The Simpsons and Futurama. I went through it and they made express my likes to the two shows as well as my comments on my favorite one. Apparently they are seeing which has more pull with the people!

Here is the site (you have to sign up, but it's for free):  http://www.opinionsurveys.com/
The exact site for the survey: http://www.opinionsurveys.com/fox/

Here is the email given if you want to ask exactly what the email is for:
Questions@OpinionSurveys.com

Or at send questions from their site at: http://www.opinionsurveys.com/contact.phtml

There are some rumors thesse days, that FOX will announce that they have renewed Futurama for midseason with 10 new episodes. The anouncement is on Friday.

But i doubt it`s true.

I think we would have heard stuff from David X and the others on staff, if that were true. Mid season? Next year mid season? They'd have to be animating them right now, it takes about 9months from intial voice recordings to final product.

Its not true

now prove me wrong please  ;)

Please don't screw with my emotions like that. The survey I can handle, but the rumor about renewal is too much.

If it's still up in the air with FOX, then David X Cohen and the rest wouldn't have said anything, because they would have known the reaction it would get if they got people's hopes up and nothing came of it. I'm not holding my breath.

Look at "Futurama outlook on Fox" on gotfuturama.com and go to the comments. There are 2 persons, that sais they know something. And if it is true. Maybe they want to air them from june next year. That will be 12 months. 3 Monts to get a new staff and 9 months to produce the episodes.

But as i said. I dont belive it.

1. Futurama will not come back. The executives at Fox hate it and they aren't to happy with Groening neither i suppose. Deal with it

2. I can understand that some of you may be in the 1 st stage, denial. But please don't bring up threads like these, first you get our hope's up:

"Hope it's a real reason with some real facts that have anything to do with Fox and Futurama".

and then you post something about opinion surveys. If Fox would like too know the publics opinion i don't think they would go to opinionsurveys.com

Why not? Being incognito is the best way to find something out. I know this gives little hope, but keep hope alive!

Some of you could just be going through the stages that Homer went through when he found out he was going to die in "One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish"

I was just thinking that Futurama, in a historical sense may benefit from being cut-short.  Now there will always be that mystery of what could have been.

That being said, I wish there were more coming...

"You can't give up hope just because it's hopeless. You've got to hope even more and cover your ears and go blah, blah, blah."

Originally said by Fry, it's apparent some people are following this advice. While it has a practical application in some situations, it has lost its practicality here.

I think it's good advice, personally, and you'd better not tell me otherwise! *covers ears*

I'm still holding out for a new series on Cartoon Network.  Or at least a film.  Blah blah blah!

I would just like to ay that I did some research into this and Groening's team are hoping to make a film trilogy.  Perhaps if the films do come out, the world will see that futurama is the best animated show ever.  Also, if you do want to stick your fingers in your ears and go "blah blah blah!" and still campaign for futurama, I would recommend a petition at www.gotfuturama.com   Hope it helps...

That is interesting, at least he still has enough of a following to do make a Futurama film. If he were to do it for The Simpsons (at the present) I don't think it would be much...

And considering that these past couple of episodes have focused a lot on a romance between Fry and Leela, they are probably building up to the last episode. And, if they are, then the last episode must be soon, so they can't continue it next year.

Now a Futurama movie I would love!

Yeah - it really annoys me that we lost 30,000 people through duplication and swearing.  They must have realised that vitriol was going to be edited out.  Not that it would have made much of a difference to the idiots at FOX.
