I really loved this one, had a really good joke pace that kept me amused (and laughing) throughout the whole thing.  I also liked how they meshed together the different storylines (like with Hermes and Dwight showing up every so often).  And after the 100th cup of coffee I saw everything going in slow mo, and I though "No, they can't possibly... they wouldn't..."  But they did, and it was a really cool and suprising scene.  Reminded me of Smallville with Clark zipping around doing stuff.

Overall, great lighthearted episode, 5/5

I found it pretty good. Lots of jokes and a steady episode. Still A* quality.

Was the 100 cups of coffee countdown from something?

It was funny but lacked in most other areas. Im aware of the "shipper" content but Im not a big Amy/Kif fan so it didnt seem as good a ep as the last 2.

Good pacing of jokes, however the plotlines didn't really hold together, and some of them weren't too interesting (see: Amy and Kif).  I loved the time slowing down scene, favorite part of the episode.  2.75/5

I thought this episode was kinda sucky.  In terms of “tv” it was decent, but judging it against other futurama episodes it wasn’t that good.  There were too many side plots and they all were way too contrived.  This episode reminded me of “Less Than Hero.”  I also did not enjoy the amy and kif subplot.  Their interaction seemed very strained and unnatural.  Just seemed badly written.

The best parts were with Fry.  Watching him become more and more wired by the coffee was funny, and the slow mo at the end was sexy.

promising ideas (namely fry's coffee binge- whoever thought of that is a genius :)), but most of them weren't carried out very well; it really just wasn't very funny. i was disappointed with how they used zapp, he could've been much funnier. but it definitely had its moments. overall i'd give it abou a B-.

This one probably falls into the catagory of a 'standard' episode.  A fairly inconsequential plot providing the framework to a number of fairly interesting set pieces.  Fry getting hooked on coffee did remind of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer did the same, but the payoff at the end did make it worthwhile (now, what specifically was being lampooned there -my initial thought was The Matrix, but I suspect otherwise)

Good ep this week.  Nothing particularly earth shattering or story arc related, but a nice simple, funny story.
However, Billy West's voices seemed a bit off this week, at least Zapp and Zoidberg.  There just wasn't much conviction in their deliveries.  And Hermes' side-plot was kind of dumb.  I think we all know what he'd be buying with that $300: "oregano"!  Also, where the hell did Fry go at the end?  He achieves caffeine nirvana, saves everyone, and then disappears!  Maybe this is leading up to something?

yeah, there were too many plotlines. didn't they say in that cut scene from 'when aliens attack' that whales were extinct or something? all i remember was the prof's line "as thier numbers increased, so did their appetite for human flesh."  :)

Lolol Well I agree, there wasn't much meat to this episode-- But Fry's Coffee Binge and Bender's "Ohh...closure" kept me laughing. Meh, not all are gems  :D

I was REALLY disappointed with this ep. It seemed totally thrown together, the plot was almost non-existant, the jokes seemed forced and the characters just weren't themselves. A few of the zoidburg moments had me smiling, but overall I rate it 0.5/5

Kiff fighting with that dual fly flapper was pretty cool. I had to laugh alot about Fry on caffeine and the Zoidberg parts (and the Professor, Elzar's kitchen and...). Also we finally got to see a member of Morbo's family, it was even his wife.
Leela in the swimsuit stuffed with fish was quite sexy but I wonder why she accepted Zapp's invitation to the reception.

I thought it was a fun episode, and a good break from all the serious, moody, deep episodes surrounding it. While this doesn't make the list of my favorite episodes, now was a very good time to air it. Light-hearted, many good jokes, and decent continuity.
Plus, I loved Fry's coffee plotline. It relates to me all too well.

It's my guess that this episode was written by a different writer than "Farnsworth Parabox" (Sorry, I don't keep track of writers!) and the two were probably written at about the same time.

i really liked this episode..  it wasnt great.. but it was more of a fun episode instead of the serious episodes of the past.. i also liked the "focus background blur" effect (which can be seen when leela's is buying the ticket to swim with mushu and other scenes)..

overall a good episdoe.. 7.5/10

Fry hitting 100 was good.  That whole scene reminded me of something - I can't think of what it was a reference to, especially the hummingbird part.  I KNOW I've seen that before - Spiderman, perhaps?  Bah.

Anyway, other than that, straight middle-of-the-road episode.  Better than Futurestocks, worse than . . . I dunno.  But suffice it to say, not the best, not the worst.  Certainly the weakest of the three "new" episodes.

I liked it so much every part of my body tingled with joy. Seeing how everyone spent their bonus $300 was... well bitchin' in the kitchen. And I mean that in a good way. Glad to see more of the Kif-Amy thing. I was sure he had broken some bladders when Zapp run him over though. Seeing Scruffy with a mohawk was the high point of my day. The Bender buying a burglar kit and than asking the clerk when the store closed joke seemed very familiar but still funny. One of my top ten indubitably. Anyone else think the fat goth girl will be a recurring character? I'm not sure if I like the idea of that?

It wasn't the best, but it kept me laughing.  I do wsh they had a reference to the date, but that's not how Futurama is.  I loved Fry throughout the whole thing, and I was also dissapontied when he didn't show up at the end.  Bender and Zapp didn't amuse me as much, but Zoidy rocked!  Also, Farnsy and the girl was okay.  As always, I loved the Leela parts.  But I didn't like the Amy and Kif parts, and the Hermes part sucked.  Still, this episode beats all other shows but against Futurama terms, it scores a :

YES! My "Kinetic Momentum Futurama Theory" is correct (anyone who doesn't know what it is read it in my second post in the "Thoughts on the Farnsworth Parabox" thread). People liked the Sting the most, Parabox was second popular, and Three Hundred Big Boys was third popular of them all! Some people (not everyone just some) were so excited to see Futurama back on FOX at last they liked it more than usually might have. Than when The Farnsworth Parabox came out people didn't make as big of a deal. Now this. My theory may not be true in everyone, but I think it is in a lot of people. I actually like this episode more than the Farnsworth Parabox. If you taped all three episodes than watch them in order again and I'm sure you'll have more of an aprreciation for the latter two.

I liked the fact that amazon.com shares are .2 cents / each in 3000.

The episode was funny but a little too stupid. I enjoyed it but I prefer episodes with more substance.

Good reacurrence of background characters (the gay guy was at the diamond store)...  I thought the sideplots were fairly good, but especially Fry The Caffeine Addict...  Anyways pretty good episode, but seeing the fatchick was too much...

Cool episode. The scene with time slowing down and the hummingbird was from Star Trek: Insurrection I believe.

This episode was pretty average throughout (well, there were some really funny lines: Morbo and his wife, etc) but Fry hitting his coffee peak stole the show. I loved it when he turned around and had like rays of sunshine emitting from his face.  :laff:

Hmm...you know, I've liked every episode previously....even "A Pharaoh to Remember", which I thought was the weakest episode until now, but was still enjoyable despite its flaws. But this....I really hate to, but I'm going to have to truly pan an episode for the first time.

First off, the plot really was just aimless. I was asking aloud in the second act "where are they going with this?". I guess we know now, but they didn't make it clear enough like with "22 Short Films", and the concept of showing a bunch of short stories just wasn't done as well or with as good a form as "22 Short Films" or probably some similar episodes from other shows. My feeling is that they should've done something politically satirical with the tax cut idea, but instead they decided to show each character doing "ker-azy" stuff. As Leela pointed out, each story was only mildly interesting.

The humor was pretty bad as well. There were moments of brilliance (Hermes first putting on the boots, Bender throwing away the diamond, anything with Fry's coffee (THANK YOU Billy West), etc), but overall it just wasn't very funny. Too many gags flopped and in many cases just didn't make sense. Roseanne? what? Why is the Professor suddenly going for some teenager? I don't really remember too many other flop gags (like with a bad Simpsons, its hard to even remember the jokes after the episode is done), but there were a lot, or at least a lot that didn't work.

Again, it pains me, but this is the first true flop in the series for me. C-/D+, and that's honestly probably a little generous.

I liked it. Better than the Sting by a good margin. The several different intertwing plots were good, and it was fresh and crazy till the end. It was pretty out there, even for Futurama, but craziness is good in moderation.

I'd say its about as good as Farnsworth Parabox.

I agree totally with you DoTheBartman... i'm a fan of some of the lesser rated episodes like Pharoah and Route Of All Evil, but in my opinion, this was the worst Futurama episode yet.

I think the thing that annoyed me most was how out-of-character everyone seemed to be. What WAS with Mum at the end?

It was pretty good.  Liked the "Coffee Time" effect.  But what happened to Fry at the end?  We see him go back into the burning building after he rescues everyone, but he never comes back out.
