Hello, I'm a longtime lurker & a first time poster.  Futurama is my favourite show of all time.  We should all go to:
 http://www.thenewtnn.com/spiketv_comments.jhtml

This is the site for Spike TV/The New TNN.  They have a comments section where you can tell them what programming you want to see on their channel.  If enough people tell them that they want Futurama, then maybe they might pick up the show and make some new episodes.

Before anyone gets their hopes up, what kind of budget does this network have, and do they have enough money to pay FOX a huge bribe for the rights to Futurama and close to $1,000,000 per episode?
Anyway, I submitted my suggestion to pick up Futurama, but I'm not holding my breath.

Futurama cost Fox $1,000,000 per episode - rights for reruns are a lot, lot, lot, lot, lot cheaper, because you're not paying for production costs. You're only really paying repeat fees, and a bit extra to Fox.

I thought we were talking about production rights and new episodes here. We already have reruns on CN.

Do your homework, Hypno Toad. Futurama is one of the most expensive animated shows ever. You think all those 3d sequences is done for free?

Cartoon Network paid 10 million dollar for rerun rights to 72 episodes. If the price were 20000$/episode it would make CN on of the stupidest channels ever.

The price for Futurama is around 700000-1000000$/episode.

I wouldn't want any more reruns. Futurama is already suffering from over exposure on CN. There needs to be more episodes for such a deal to take place. I would say at least 9 seasons before two different deals should be made.

Hmm. Think $20,000 would pay a team of animators, writers, voice actors, etc, for what was it, 9 months per episode?

ShadowFox: Futurama suffering from over exposure? :P
