To get back on topic, I'd say Futurama has the most potential of any television series on to date.

 Not only has it not IMHO had a BAD episode yet (some eps worse than others, but a lot better than other shows!), but it has so many GREAT characters, and the possibilities for new ones NEVER runs out since you've got a universe to choose from! The same with plotlines! You've got your on-earth everyday plotlines and a limitless bag of outlandish things that only this series can pulloff!

Because of the great cast, small situations can be VERY funny, and because of the premise and size of the cast huge grand-scale plot driven episodes are possible and numerous!

I really hope that FOX gives Futurama a LONG chance to develop because I can only see it getting better and better. They just have to keep the humor fresh and the characters, premise, and limitless good plots will take it from there!

I agree...as far as I'm concerned, the show keeps getting better and better, and with the people involved, I seriously doubt it'll peak anytime soon.

With other shows, the good writers leave one by one, slowly getting replaced by less funny people until you have a lame show with tired jokes and no sense of how the characters act. But the newer writers on Futurama are great...Birdbot of Ice-catraz was really funny, and Luck of the Fryrish is one of the best episodes ever(showing both keen humor and good character-based moments). Plus most of the older writers keep getting better and better. I can't wait to see season 4(although at the rate Fox is showing episodes, we probably won't see anything from the fourth production run for another two years).

However, I would go as far as saying that Futurama will someday dethrone Simpsons as the funniest show ever. That's if Futurama retains it's quality in a period of 5-7 years. I hope it does retain it's comedic qualities or maybe even get even funnier as time goes on. That would rock!
