Milton's Paradise Lost is nothing like Parasites Lost is it?  And how can you site Parasites Lost in a debate about death and the afterlife?

Memories remind me of Futurama, because I have stringed timeline that has been wound around Futurama...

Ok, after I say this:

Sorry for the snappy post, I should probably stop drinking so much red bull. Anyway, don't go too easy on the guy... show your evil side!

The nurse at college is called Leela. I hate her for screwing up my TB jab, I felt the needle scraping across bone *shudders*.

That's the best!!!

When I gave blood last week, the nurse poked and prodded and moved the needle around in my arm... it felt like a bitch  ;)

It was really odd, this morning at about 11, I was in the car listening to the news and at the end he said, "This is *Dave Cohen* reporting for CBS news." Weird. Not really though, considering Cohen is a common last name, but still.

I once had an entire week where anything I saw I somehow related to Futurama. That kind of thing really bothers my brother.

My friends tell me I look like Amy when I'm working out, so that reminds me of Futurama. I'm kind of obsessed, though, because I'm always working out in little pink outfits.

I know this is gonna sound nerdy, but please bear with me.

I was playing Jeopardy! on my PS2, and one of the questions said something like "People use ambergrese, which comes from this animal." I immediately remembered "300 Big Boys", and put the answer, which is WHALE. And I got it right.

Who says you don't learn anything from Futurama?

Be careful about the learning stuff from Futurama... I tried guessing on a test about Moby Dick and thought that Quequag was Ahab's first mate or such....

^I know, but sometimes you can actually learn something from 'Futurama'. By the way, who was the captain's first mate?

That sounds about right. He was definitely in there somewhere.

The song from Bender's tale in AOI2 was used in the Brit TV show Strictly Come Dancing last week.

Ironically, I just finished watching the movie "Master and Commander" and they mentioned ambergrese.

So, I was spending the day with my mom, since I'm home for the weekend and she was starting to go all, "Oh god! The nest... It's emptying! Okay, kids. Back in the womb. NOW!" on my ass. We were wandering around downtown when we passed this bizarre public bathroom with sliding elevator-esque doors. It was about elevator sized, too, standing alone outside. A fancy porta-potty, I guess.
"The hell?" I asked. I know bathrooms, and that, sir, was no bathroom.
"Yeah," said my mom, "It looks like something out of Futurama."
I looked at her for a moment with quiet awe, then recovered with, "What? A suicide bathroom?" and we both laughed. Apparently, my brother has trained her well in my absence.

That reminds me of the silver booths that line the main clubbing street in my city.

They're stylish toilets, but the smell is nearly bad enough for them to double up as suicide booths.

The cafeteria at work today is serving spicy Jamacian jerk chicken wraps.  If I'm in the right place at the right time, I may get to use the "Is there any meat this man can't jerk?" line.

I was in art class yesterday and behind me some guys were fooling around. I didn't pay attention to them until one guy said: "You look so much like Zoidberg."
Then the other guy said: "Really?"  He then made the wooping noise. I was tempted to go back there and say: "No your doing it wrong! I goes like this!" Then proceed to make the noise (I'm pretty good at it). But instead I just smiled weirdly for a couple of minutes like an idiot.

For some reason, I'm full of family stories right now. Go figure.

My dad gave me a call the other day to tell me some jokes he'd just heard. Our conversation went like this:
"Okay... This three-legged dog walks into an old west saloon--"
"I'm lookin' for the man who shot my paw."
"Oh, you've heard that one. Okay. Two eskimos are in a canoe--"
"Can't have your kayak and heat it, too."
"Oh. These two bull weevils--"
"Lesser of two weevils!"
"Okay... This Taoist monk goes to get a tooth pulled--"
"Transcend dental medication!"
At that point, he got mad at me and hung up, and I abruptly realized that I'd somehow channeled Fry in Where the Buggalo Roam. It was awesome.

Dear god... it's especially disturbing because the first song is called "Delivery Man".

Look what I got from the snack machine yesterday:

Within the last few weeks there was relatively often a song on radio I've first read about in the comic with the UPSilons (maybe comic #2 ?). I'm not sure about the songs title , but it is something like "They ??? paradise and put up a parking lot".
I've never assumed I'll ever hear that song in radio.

On a random note: Every posting by TL within this thread (I've read yet) is worth gold and should be printed and ... yes, printed ...

Pffft, "trans dental medication"  :laff: Can't stop laughing.  :D

Yes, I'm back at PEEL. Hurray!

Somehow I stumbled across this picture when I was looking at a Photoshop-contest. I'm positive the artist was inspired by Futurama  ;)

Another thing that sort of reminds me of the show is that every time I see the word Xmas (not Christmas, though), I read it the way they say it in Futurama automatically. I'm weird. Two people have even corrected me about it. Stupidknowsitallabouteverythingbutfuturama-people...

Hehheheheheh at the Nibbler bag.

Heh thats cute. right now at this moment I'm looking at this calendar I just bought with Simpsons on it. Theres this one picture with Homer mixing his coffee with a nuk rod and in the background there a poster warning of mutations as a result of not taking care of the work place. They had mutants that remarkably looked a lot like Lela and the mutants underneath in the sewer.

Oh this reminds me of a post I was going to post that was too lazy to post about but going to post now after I'm done over here.   ;)

Oh and that bag of cookies and Slerm for some reason reminds me of this place....

A few wekks ago I was reading futurama adventures, and had just finished reading the panel in comic # 8 where leela is listening to this song that goes:"us, and them, after all god knows were ordinary men." I then had to go somewhere, and the song that happened to be playing on the radio was that one. I have never heard that song any other time except that time. And it scared the hell out of me.

Brought to my attention recently by the upcoming movie, I've noticed how similar Futurama is to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I mean, if Zapp had one more head...

Might be longshot, but whenever kidnapping is mentioned, it reminds of Futurama because of 'Kidnappster"  :p

When I first saw the trailer for the movie, I thought, "did they decide to make a Futurama movie and not tell me?"  Then I realized it was HGttG ...

Also, I was in Wal-Mart the other day, and saw this:

I think you're talking about "Big Yellow Taxi" by Joni Mitchell, although i believe a group called Counting Crows recently covered it.  And it's "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot." of course, if that is what you're talking about.
