I just wanted to ask everyone out there if there's any possibility of more Futurama episodes to be created, I mean, if someone knows someone that has a friend that have heard that maybe another TV channel might want to "buy" the show or something like it. I would find it very sad to lose the best animation series ever just because Fox executives don't like it.

That's true. However even FOX hasn't decided yet what Futuramas fate will be, although that will happen soon (on the 15th, I think). Anything else would be unfounded speculation. Also keep in mind, that Futurama is rather expensive, most of the animators have new jobs, and so on.
IMHO the chances that new episodes are produced by anyone not good at the moment.

I'm gonna build my own TV Network! With blackjack! and hookers! and Futurama! In fact, forget the blackjack and the hookers....

Yep, we'll know on the 15th (according to TLZ)...

...no we won't, I seriously doubt FOX will even bother mentioning Futurama at all. If they finally say "yes it's dead" I'd be pleasantly surprised. If they say "yes we're gonna make some more eventually" I'd be even more pleasantly surprised.

Hopefully if.. probably more like when they officially cancel it, hopefully it'll mean more chance of other networks picking it up  :)

Chances of FOX renewing Futurama - 1:1.265.879
Chances of FOX cancelling Futurama - 1:1.234.768
Chances of FOX outright ignoring Futurama and let is lide slowly into oblivion - 1:2,78
Chances of ever seeing new episodes produced - 1:?

Sorry, but I think that's the score right now.

You're only allowed one decimal place in a number  :p.

Unless you're using those crazy continental separators  :D.

I use the correct way of writing decimal numbers.  :p It's you Brits, and your backwards colonial system that's out of place.  ;)

Only one decimal? Then how do you guys write Pi? 3,1?

But the question is, if Fox releases Futurama, are there any legal impediments (is that the correct word?) if any other network wants to buy it? I mean, apart of economic stuff and that sort of things

We write pi:

π = 3.141592653589793238462643383 2795028841971693993751

And that makes sense. You people use commas where dots should be, and dots where commas should be.

So there's π. I just love typing non-Latin characters to confuse non-Unicode browsers.

Edit: My non-Latin characters broke. They were all Arabic. No surprise there, I suppose. My computer apparently hates Arabic. One of my friend's computers once changed its language to Arabic on Windows 3.1. I couldn't find the button to exit Windows because the Yes/No had switched sides. That's plenty off-topic.

Edit II: And a Crustacean doesn't double-post. So don't.

As I've said before, the continental system is one of the most frustrating things ever created  :p.

Don't worry. One glorious day, you guys will come to your senses and turn away from the dark side. And when that day comes we will welcome you back into the civilised world. Provided you do away with your inch/feet/yard/mile-system as well.  :p

Oh, I can do without the imperial measurements (a result of the EUs standardisation policy, no doubt  :p), it's just the blatant disregard for punctuation I can't stand  ;).

Back to topic... Maybe in a few years Fox might bring back Futurama, or if FOX cancel The Simpsons (God forbid), Matt Groening will get extra mad, and will put his shows on another channel.

IMHO Futurama isn't cancelled, but on a currently indefinite hiatus.
