And so you really think he's rich? I wondered about that all the time. He doesn't seem to have too many luxusious goods, he doesn't dress too fancy.
If he is rich (and didn't spend all of his money on questionable inventions and a company which doesn't seem to make a lot of money) he doesn't show it.

As someone who was raised by his grandparents I can tell you from experience that old people DON'T like to spend money.  They prefer to hold on to it and brag about how much they have - except when someone needs to borrow some (then they're not made of money).
