Topic: Zapp Brannigan

Zapp Brannigan is dead sexy. Come on, just look at him...a spiffy velour uniform, a begirdled paunch, and hair done by an expert stylist...you can't get any sexier. To be honest, I didn't like his voice at first(the fake Phil Harman voice annoyed me) but he's grown on me to become one of my favorite characters. War Is The H-Word, Brannigan Begins Again, and Amazon Women In The Mood are the three of the best episodes so far, and the other Zapp-heavy episodes are good too.

Hell, he was in Lobstertainment for less than half a second and he was still funny. That's talent.

Kif rocks too, of course...Zapp wouldn't be nearly as funny without him to play off of.

Of the 2, kif isnt so cool, individually.  But as a comic duo they are good.  granted that Zapp is still better.  I mean anyone can sigh.

Zapp is damn funny, but points must go to Kif for playing the straight man (in more ways then one) to Zapp. Kif always makes the Zapp jokes funnier and has some great reactions. They are an excellent pair that play off each other so well.

Whoa whoa, you're selling him short here. Sighing aside, he's just a plain funny character. All his stuff with Leela in Brannigan Begins Again was awesome, plus he has a lot of visual humor with his little street dance, and the way he scrambles around on the ceiling, trying to avoid the Amazone. And his voice is damn cool...Maurice LeMarche is the man.

Oh. Well ok. Um...ahem...uh...well...um... ok--there he was in the tub, right?

But really, I'm sorry. I'll talk more about Zapp. He's a great singer. I seriously would pay to hear a full version of "Leela". I'd like to hear a full version of "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" too, but little miss nazi here wants me to only post about Zapp, so forget that. I also want to read Zapp's book of pickup lines in its entirety. Hell, I just want to hang out with Zapp himself. Sure, he's not exactly "real", but if I close my eyes while hanging out with Billy West, I'll sort of get that effect.

Of course, he's probably not as funny as Zapp in real life, so he would have to wear a wire so the Futurama writing staff could tell him what to say. Man that would rock. I wish I were a billionaire so I could pay people to do stupid stuff like that for my entertainment.

ontopic i enjoyed the smoking while zapp was singing, that was a classy touch.  i notice he likes to smoke to look cool, like when trying to be a hooker.  In my opinion it really works; i think i'll take up smoking so i look cool too.

ps- mispronouncing stuff is also really great.

Every word out of Zapp's mouth is comedy gold, but the way Kif can convey a world of meaning with a simple groan and a roll of the eyes... that's brilliance.

Oh, and when it comes to the ladies... which of the two is in a loving, comitted relationship, and which alternates between pursuing a woman who clearly loathes him, and dating she-males?

Zapp and Kif are a pair, they're almost always shown together, always around each other. To dismiss one without the other really isn't doing the characters justice. Zapp reminds me of a cross between William Shatner and Troy McClure, only much funnier. Actually I take that back because Zapp's too great a character to be reduced to a combination of characters, so if I weren't so lazy I'd delete that part. But I am.

Every time I see Zapp he gets sexier and sexier. He's quotes and the way he dose things smoother are just hmmmmmm.  he's no2 of my sexiest Futurama character list.
