Hey, I signed up to this board just to post in this topic. I'm from WA, and to answer Grim's question - yes, WA did miss out on Bendin' In The Wind and I Dated A Robot, although I think some other states missed out on that last episode too. Anyway, looking forward to tonight's episode, even though I've already seen it - it's great watching it on TV with perfect quality.  :)

Welcome to PEEL!

geez what is it with Western Australians and Futurama, most of the aussies on here are from WA!
hmm as I remember
4 Queenslanders
5 Westerns
2 NSW
2 Victorians

the most sparse state, has the most dense ratio of Futurama fans   :D

Hooray! Roswell That Ends Well tonight and A Tale Of Two Santas next week!
I still wish Futurama was given a chance in a primetime slot though.
Oh well, they are two of my all time favourite eps.  :D

I think I'll only make Uber Mpegs Roswell that ends wellout, as is fav ep. In the future I'll only make Uber recordings of the 4ACV eps, seeing as I'll have the 3ACV on DVD next month  :D

I missed the first few minutes of Roswell for my season 3-4 tape!! AHH!! I've got it by 'other means' though...

I've just finished watching through the whole of my brand new season 2 DVD set, now for the commentaries...

Welcome to PEEL Beamer (I know it's not your 1st post, but your 2nd post!)

It is a great episode, one of my favourites (I can spell it like that and nobody will care!), I especially like the parts with Zoidberg and Truman. "I'm not hearing a 'no'..."

Zoidberg just stole the show in my opinion, he was so funny.

I'm still a little confused as to the Fry thing - I mean, if his grandfather suddenly changed, wouldn't some aspects of Fry have changed too? Oh well, still a terrific episode.  :)

Yer i agree big guy, "im meeting people and thats what matters". For mine it was the best futurama yet. Except for TWoF.
And beamer, not really because in the year 3000 fry would still be living that he would be in 1947 even with out knowing it. I just made things more confusing.

Fry's grandparents never changed, Fry was always his own grandfather

@Aussie Guy- Why would I need to know the season2 set was in brisbane? I've had it since november!

Welcome to PEEL MasterZool!

No, they are that bad, they just have nothing to put on at 10:30 or 11:00. Although we are lucky to go through. Season 4 is small anyway.

Yeah, you are right - I keep thinking that any differences with Fry would have changed from that episode on, but then I remember it occured in the 1940's, so any changes back then would have taken place right from the first episode. Oh well, the more I think about it, the more it confuses me, so I'll stop thinking about it.

Anyway, as much as I hate Channel 7, I'm happy that Futurama is back on, even if it's on a crappy timeslot.

Yeah, its good to see channel 7 showing season 4. If Bender was trapped in the past for 1000 years then how could he have been there from the first episode...if that makes any sense. All these time things are so confusing it's best just not to think about it.

Does anyone know if and when channel 7 will be puting Scrubs back on?

Has anyone noticed how all of Channel 7's shows seem to be ripping off popular shows on other channels?

Greeks on the roof = Kumars at No. 42
Big Bite = Comedy Inc.
The chat room = The Panel

And most of their rip-off shows only last 3 weeks, it's just pathetic.

All I ever see on Channel 7 are either ripping off other shows, and any idea they get that's half original is a pathetic lifestyle or reality TV show.

How dare they put great programming like Futurama on at 10:30pm and then put complete CRAP on during primetime?! Damn you Channel 7! And damn you FOX as well for cancelling such a great show!

Okay, my rant is over now.  :)

I got my S2 DVD from Target Inaloo, so for Perth people if the city is too far just go there. I think they only have 6 copies so they might be sold out already.

I saw the season 1 dvd at target, so it would be a good place to check anywhere in Australia.

@Beamer ALL the shows they have are ripped off I get really annoyed at that. They can't get any of their own ideas!

I read (in The Australian newspaper media liftout I think) that channel 7 had to pay a lot of money to the people at Kumars at No. 42 so that they could make that Greeks on the roof.

Yeah they did, and then they screwed up by putting it on at the same time so fans of the Kumars arent even going to watch Greeks on the Roof.

The host on Greeks of the Roof puts on such a strong accent that it can be very hard to understand what she is saying.

I can.
And Fry isnt his own grandfather. Theres a theory that there is an infinte amount of univereses and then if you change something then the alternate goes on and you still exist in yours and dont notice anything.

Fry could go back and kill himself and he'd stil; exist by that way of thinking.

Wow, Australian Guy, thanks for confusing the hell out of me, I really appreciate it.  :)

I do understand what you're saying though, but I'm pretty sure it happened in the same universe. Hell, both theories could work.
