My futurama dream (for shippers)

I dreamt the ending of what would appear to be the final episode of the series.

It Starts with a close-up of fry's and leela's theyre holding eachothers hands,They exchange vows(i cant remember what they where),then they put on the wedding rings.The priest (who is lord nibbler wearing a tunic and a white collar)then says you can kiss the bride.Fry and Leela kiss,Amy says yay! and Zoidberg is crying. Then i woke up.

But just before the wedding sequence in my dream.There was a picture of fry,someone shots im in the forehead ,then the picture
starts to bleed form the wound.

Hey, don't feel bad.  I dreamed about Leela once a few weeks ago.  Don't remember any specifics, but it was definitely the first cartoon character that made it into one of my dreams.

Not exactly, he just likes good entertainment and writing, and frankly if "Devils Hands..." end with Leela and Fry getting married in an overly sentimental scene I will be quite miffed myself.

And it's not just beacuase of the 16 hour download.

Cause they never get to the end of the series, not just 'cause I'm way too lazy to watch it.

I would be really disappointed if it all ended with a wedding - it's been done too many times with other shows, never really well.

Maybe it should end with an incredibly nasty explosion, but a niblonian's shadow can be seen in the smoke and clouds, leading us to wonder what their involvement was and whether this is truly the end or not...

Reminds me of a season cliffhanger on "Dynasty", many a year ago (the 80's for you young whippersnappers (not you FC  )): Some chick was about to marry this prince from some mideast-country, just as they're about to kiss 15 terrorists jump through the windows and guns everybody down. The last picture of the season was a gunsmoked slaughterhouse (people were outraged, then again they were following an Aron Spelling show, so nobody gave a damn).

The next season the writers could pick and chose who they wanted to survive and who where written out of the show.

Not saying it will happen in "Devils Hnads....", but it will allow the writers to continue, without being openended.

I'm still newbie enough to ask what "shippy" means.  I suspect it means eps where they use the ship a lot.  If so, count me in as one of the "shippers" here.  If not, clarification request?

Shippers come from the word relationship.

Shippers are romance fanatics, who loves mushy stuff and cares deeply about the love aspect of Futurama. The come mianly in two groups Fry/Leela shippers and Kif/Amy shippers, but other groups are possible.

They love shows such as "Parasites lost" (except the "I love what you've become" line), "Love And Rocket", "Time Keeps On Slipping", etc. Cool people.

They could end it like they did FarScape.  Here's how it would translate...

.....in the last 5 mins....

By whatever circumstances, Fry proposes and Leela accepts.  We go through the engagement ring bit, and they embrace.

Then out of nowhere they are (or seem to be, gotta leave room for doubt) blown up, into a bazillion pieces.... chunky salsa.... you get the picture.

Zoidy, who was crying shrieks in agony and disbelief while the rest of our "heroes" just gasp in horror at the scene.

Fade to Black.....

Roll Credits

It's actually kinda cool, and IF they did it, it would be instep with they way they parody other shows and movies....

A cool ending for Futurama would have Fry-Leela getting married then fad-out to day after the wedding where Fry is revealed to be Zapp all along with Fry tied in a broom closet before the wedding and Leela wakes from her nightmare only to wake up in bed with Zapp, then she beats up Zapp.  With Zapp saying "I have never been happy to be beaten up again"

I am more of the lines of anti-shipper but this has the worst of both worlds.

If that pic is supposed to be for the last ep I think the devil should be looming in the background waiting to collect from Fry for his helping Fry with Leela.
hmmm thinking about this kind of thing makes me think of that moive Bedazzeled<spell check on that) where that guy gets all these wishs n burns every wish tryn to score with this one chick but the devil ends up screwn him everytime n man is it funny.

I don't see why the ending HAS to involve an explosion, wedding etc. Especially if a movie hasn't been ruled out yet. I'd rather everything be put to bed in a full length Futurama movie than in a 22 minute episode.

Im gonna have to agree with smick to have a movie would be better if you where going to have Fry n Leela get married or at least a 2 part ep.

n about a full length movie well I think the chances of that happening are slim dont get me wrong though Id like to see a Futurama movie.

actually having two part episodes would be a real change. for once there would be something i have strived to have in my fan fics series GOING INSANE.

breaking the revert law is a very scetchy thing when it comes to fox and shows. especially someone whos animators at least draw a hell of a lot like the simpsons. they all revert to the way things were in the begining and screw the consiquences. EX time keeps on slippen. looks liek they are ex husband and wife now.

jsut wish for once there would be a heated argument between leela and either amy or fry about why in hte hell she doesn't even give nim a chance, and yet does the nast with zapp

While it was a little hard to decipher what you you meant, I think I agree.  Leela goes from having fairly (okay...with Zapp, it'd have to be VERY) loose standards about who she'll sleep with and why, to not even giving Fry the time of day.  Then again, "Parasites Lost" did do a pretty god job of exlaining this.  I'd still like to see Fry and Leela "end up together" no matter how many jokes it would screw up though.

Futurama does not need another wedding with Leela, it has been done twice, Leela/Al the space roach & Leela/Fry with Leela dumping Fry with them splitting their NFL Fine Diningwear. Leela has "mated" three times to our knowledge, Zapp, Al the space roach, and Kif.  Fry on the other hand is his own grandfather.  It seems to me that Fry is in a lose-lose situation.  First Leela only see Fry as a friend and doesn't give him the time of day.  Second if they are together Fry will have to deal with all of Leela's emotional baggage not including Fry mistakes.  I have notice Fry only wants Leela if she has an eye for someone else or has been dumped.  Both don't have the courage to do this and if they do it may be too late. I would rather see Kif/Amy wedding, it looks happier, besides as in Fry's words "TV viewers hate suprises".

Fry tried to get together with Leela in Parasites Lost, Time Keeps on Slippin', Love & Rocket and Xmas Story (sort of) and she wasn't dating anyone else or recently dumped.

Do we really have to go into Leela and Zapp again? She had high standards back then, she thought Zapp was what the propaganda proclaimed him to be; a hero, a noble warrior, the pride of DOOP. Only minutes after she finds out what a blowhard he is, she discovers that he's a lonely and pretty pathetice situation. She lets her pity and motherly care get the better of her. She made a mistake, and she'll never do that again. Poor Fry have to suffer from that.
