I like The Why of Fry the best so far. The season seemed really bad the first couple episodes, but it's getting much better.

Jurassic Bark made so many people unhappy and cry.  Thus, I will vote for that episode.

The Why of Fry and TMLH were both good also, but for completely different reasons.

After seeing 'The Why of Fry' it's definately my favourate of this 'so called' season, and one of my favourates ever. 'Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles' comes second. Actually, as there's not many eps, this shouldn't be too hard, so in my opinions, from best to worst...

The Why of Fry
Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles
The Route of All Evil
Jurassic Bark
Less than Hero
A Taste of Freedom
Crimes of the Hot
Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch

Overall, IMO, appart from 'KGKUAN', a really great season   :)

Second! McGrady made a good point. Just one, but sometimes that is all which is necessary.

Still, I voted for A Taste of Freedom. Freedom!

A Taste Of Freedom and Jurassic Bark. I would probably vote for The Why Of Fry except I haven't seen it yet!

"A Taste of Freedom"

Zoidberg is da bomb!  ...or da heat-seeking missile, or whatever.

"They're paid *not* to kill me!"

Though to be fair, I have yet to see "The Route of All Evil."  It was pre-empted in my area, and hasn't been re-run.  It's the only episode of the entire series I haven't seen.  I've seen Dwight in the background of several eps, but I *still* know nothing about him.

Compare this to Otis's list:

Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles
The Why of Fry
Jurassic Bark
A Taste of Freedom
Crimes of the Hot
The Route of All Evil
Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch
Less Than Hero

Aside from the bottom two, a pretty decent season. However, because McSeason 5 was so short, it does have a 25 % failure rate.  :(

The Columbus, Ohio Fox affiliate pre-empted both Jurassic Bark and The Route of All Evil due to @#$% football.  That really pissed me off.  But luckily, I was able to acquire the episodes.  So in my area, there were only six episodes in this so-called "season".  Absolutely unbelievable.
But anyway, here's my episode ranking:
Jurassic Bark/The Why of Fry (I thought they were equally good.  JB because it was so touching, especially since I like animals so much, and TWOF because it was just plain fascinating).
A Taste of Freedom
The Route of All Evil
Crimes of the Hot
Less than Hero/Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles (I thought these two were equally bad.  It puzzles me why so many like TMLH so much.  What did I miss?  I felt this episode was poorly written.  I didn't like it at all.)
Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch

There, that's my list.  But really, making a list like this in that you rank the episodes against each other is so hard, because there were barely any episodes to begin with.

Teenage Mutant Leela Hurdles was the best episode of McSeason 5, simply for the insane amount of LOL moments. Zoidberg's larva-stadies was hillarious "What I'm going to go through all my larva stadies?" ::turns into a trilobite::  :laff:

Farnsworth was great too, good to finally see him shine. like he did in Roswell That Ends Well" (and to a lesser extent in "Jurassic bark).

The chase was excellent, and the teen-PE'ers was cute as hell.

Best episode of the season.

I'm waiting to see "The Why of Fry" before casting my vote, but so far "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles" is easily the best.

For me it's a tie between Crimes Of The Hot, and The Why Of Fry. I voted for COTH out of pity.

Reasons: Both of them were hardcore sci-fi, both of them were a major development in the series with far-reaching continuity implications, both of them were bloody hilarious, and both of them had that "A+" factor.

Edit: Less Than Heros was poor, but the continuity references were excellent. I love continuity. Refer to my username for clarification of this.

Teenage Mutant Leelas's Hurdles runs a close second for the sewer race, and the continuity reference to Chromitons.

The rest of them run in the same order as the poll lists them for me. The episode they will never top, I think, has to be The Luck Of The Fryrish.

I think 'only' three of the episodes so far have been memorable. Crimes of the hot, Teenage mutant Leela's hurdles and The why of Fry. The two first were good and funny, but The why of Fry was a classic!

You're a disgrace to nerds everywhere, Velour. The Über-nerds have seen all the episodes at least three times already (possibly in three different file formats too).

As much as I would like to vote on "Crimes of the Hot" and "Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch", I had to go with "The Why of Fry"" because although it wasn't as funny, it had the best story so far.

Weeee!  I get to be an Uber-Nerd!  Hey, if I've seen "The Space Pilot 3000" in FIVE different formats (TV, DVD, .avi, .mpg, and .rm) do I get to be an Ultra-Arch-Uber-Nerd?

Incidentally, I've seen it in six formats (!), including an 82Mb DivX. But it's in a league of its own, the other season 1 and 2 episodes I've only seen in maybe three or four formats  :p

The Why of Fry had the same problem like Leela's Homeworld. The episode did reveal some vital information, however it had no real story attached to it. At least they put the moment of truth at the end of the episode.
Nevertheless, I'm still somewhat disappointed by TWOF.

Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles was the best episode (with The Why Of Fry coming in a very close second). It had the perfect mix of laughs, satire, and shippyness (all wonderfully interwined together, as usual). Basicly, it was the Xmas Story of McSeason 5.

I voted "Teenage Mutent" because it provided the most overall laughs, but so far I've enjoyed this "season" a lot.

I re-watched what I considered the "weakest" of the bunch, "Taste of Freedom",  for the first time this weekend and found several solid laughs I think I missed on the first viewing.

That's why I love "Futurama" - very high re-watchability quotient.
