More info on 'The why of Fry'

Everyone is realy looking foward to this ep, let's just keep our fingers crossed that it actually airs. A new spoiler at CGEF shows that it could be a shipper episode too   ...

When Leela gets swept off her feet by Mike, an aide to the Mayor, Fry falls into a deep funk thinking that she could never like a non-important guy. Adding to Fry's funk, a bizarre genetic abnormality is discovered that qualifies him for a mission to save the world. While on this mission, we learn what really happened on Dec. 31, 1999, the night Fry was frozen. Meanwhile, Mike says "no" to a free day at the skating rink, and Leela realizes Fry is much more to her than she ever knew.

Mike, aide (assistant) to mayor (of New New York), why does that remind me of "Spin
City"?

Oooooops, I checked General Discussion, but not Weired Scenes.. ah well. This thread hangs in the balance of the mods now I guess, it's up to them if they want to open or closed
