i have mixed feelings about this ep. The Good: its been indicated that this is a shippy ep. i love shippy eps The Bad: it's about bees. Leela adopts one. I'm afraid of bees and now i have to watch a whole show about bees.

I'm just wondering if this episode will have any sort of relation to the past of the previous delivary crew, who were eaten by Space Wasps.

I got an episode description for "The Sting" from the Canadian TV Guide website (They're always at least 2 days behind in updating) and when I read what was going to happen I was, well, shocked. Futurama Type: Animation Duration: 30 mins Description: Leela makes a mistake that causes Fry's death as they're collecting honey from a swarm of space bees, but her strange dreams lead her to believe Fry is still alive

sorry to double post but i just had a thought, The original synopsis i read says that Leela adopts a baby queen bee and now this second one mentions her making a mistake that gets Fry killed, Now, from what i know about bees, the worker bees are attracted to a certain pheramone the queen gives off. in fact if you want to move an entire swarm of bees from one hive to another all you have to do is find the queen and move her to the new hive and all the other bees will follow. Knowing that, my theory is that she adopts the baby queen bee not knowing about the whole pherimone thing, or maybe not even realizing that it is a queen, and then the whole rest of the hive comes swarming in on them and during the insuing chaos Fry gets "killed" Which links both versions of the episode synopsis together. The mistake that she makes is the actual adopting of the baby bee And once again Science saves the day!

*Thought occurs* Maybe those bastards at fox made Matt Groening kill off Fry so they would have to cancell the show [/conspiracy theory]
Eh, Fry will just turn up in some bizzare plot twist at the end of the episode. i,e.
Leela: "Oh my God Fry, where have you been?!" Fry: "Watchin' TV. Why? Did you MISS me? Leela: "I thought I did." Fry: "Aww."

So what exactly is going to happen in "The Devil's Hands?" With "Love and Rocket" and apparently "The Why of Fry" and "The Sting," it seems like Fry and Leela's relationship is going along pretty well. Why's he going to need to do something drastic show his love for her later?

hmmm I cant stand insects makes me want to reach for the flamethrower n start roasting anything that moves.
As for the ep/eps that are said to be coming that are also said to concern Fry n Leela's secret romance/crush/whatever u want to call it. Its sad that they made these eps before All American Rejects became a well known band. If they had made em today they coulda added music from All American Rejects in n probably made the eps better sence most of there songs are based on romance/broken romances.

Well, I'm looking forward to this one. I love bees and my favorite Sailormoon character, for which I am named, paraded around with the bee as "her insect" in the live Seramyu shows. Of course, not all bees are good...Like that sonuavagun who stung me and made my leg swell. Here's an idea... Perhaps the bees have some sort of ability to excise people from their bodies. I know, it's far out, but bear with me. Building on Venus' idea, suppose Leela were to take the queen bee away. In a rage, the workers could attack Fry, displacing his spirit from his body. He would look dead, but he wouldn't really be. Reminds me of a fan fic I read recently. Erdrik's, I think... At any rate, I'm just thinking WAY out there *SHAMELESS TIM BURTON ENDORSEMENT* after scouring the net for info on the rumored stop-motion film 'Corpse Bride.' But 'The Sting' sounds really clool!
