Matt Groening's Birthday!

Matt Groening’s birthday is on Nirvana day, the 15th.  He will turn 47.

How do I know this?  My Futurama calendar says it.

Alot of the writers visit the sites and love them and since Matt is into alot of geeky science fiction stuff (nothing wrong with that btw) it wouldn't suprise me if he's one of them. But think about how much work he has to do:
Two big shows in which he's involved with all stages of it's production, a comic strip, all the follow up work (promotion etc) for both shows and to top that he's got children to spend time with.
I don't think I could do even half that much and I'm less than half his age. Sometimes I don't think he gets enough credit, for what he does, from other people (not you guys  ).
But think about what would happen if he posted here... EVERYONE would be wanting to post messages to him so no-one would talk aout much else.
Still it would be great if he did the odd post.

well, he'd better use a curiosity company internet account, cause else noone would beliefe him anyway i have seen enough matt groenings in newsgroups to know that sooner or later someone will have the great idea to sign up as matt here, too.

Here's a bit of trivia if anyone is interested: 
Matt Groening is two years older than Homer Simpson.
How do I know this you ask?
In the episode that showed that Homer met Marge in High School we find that he is graduating in 1974.  Unless he was held back a year or two he should be 18 when he graduates (or 17 and turn 18 later that year).  If he's 18 in 1974 then he will be 45 in 2001.

Damn, I've got way too much time on my hands.

Yeah but their birthdates keep changing.
Bart should be about 24 by now cos he was 10 in 1987.
and Maggie should be older than a lot of people on this board.

Actually, generally, when "celebrities" go online, they use their own name, except when they're afraid of obsessive fans. Courtney Love used to post online, as herself. She was quite pissed off to find at least four impostors, and demanded that someone do something about it. Author Poppy Z. Brite posts on alt.gothic all the time--but not on the pzb fan mailing list (which she secretly reads and laughs at). The singer of EMF showed up on an EMF fan board. And so on.

So it's plausible that Matt Groening would post here. But I'm pretty sure he hasn't yet.

What's the rule on apologizing?  Because that's what I'm doing, admitting I'm wrong, at least about that spelling.
