I would have thought this would be all over the boards by now, but I've seen no sign of it (apologies if I've just overlooked someone's post). But 7pm, Sunday March 2nd, Sky One - looks like 'Crimes Of The Hot' is on!

As usual for Sky, absolutely *no* promotion - if the Guardian Guide hadn't run a sidebar on it, I wouldn't even have known it was coming. They'll plug absolute shite like Mile High and Fear Factor twenty times an hour, but god forbid they promote Futurama. They even rub it in with that 'the best from the US - first!' promo that features every American show they run *except* Futurama!

They'll probably cut it too, since it's on a 7. But at least it's on...

This week's Radio Times has a shot of Al Gore and a few words on Sunday's Satellite page!

I don't have Sky, but a friend with it is (hopefully) going to video it for me and I'll be able to watch it on monday  :)

I've seen it advertised on Sky One, TV & Satellite, and Sky's monthly magazine (twice!).  So yeah, stop moaning.

Uoo better believe it!

Look at it this way:

This is classic Simpsons goodness from seasons 6-8.
::gestures 2m above ground::

This is classic Futurama goodness from seasons 1-4.
::gestures 1.9m above ground::

This is Futurama McSeason 5 episodes.
::gestures 1.89 m above ground::

This is craptacular new Simpsons episodes.
::digs a hole 4m deep and gestures around his ancles::

I must also respectfully disagree with payndz's statement that Sky hasn't been promoting the show - I've seen a fair few promos this week in conjunction with the new "Pray Anything" promo.

BTW, will there be reviews on ANSTATMAW?   :D

EDIT: Just to make up for my heinous comment above, I agree that that "Best of the US - First!" promo really ticks me off. And the current presenter.

It would also be interesting to see whether Futurama here in the UK gets a better percentage share of it's potential viewership (with a consistent time-slot and following "The Simpsons" ) than on FOX.

I cancelled Sky last year because of lack of Futurama, but I've still got my digibox in my room hooked up so I can get the normal channels digitally. The cards still in there as well, so all I have to is phone Sky a while before it airs tomorrow and I'm sorted  :)

Me, moan? That's unpossable!  :D

But I still haven't seen any Sky promos for it. Maybe they're all on during Mile High...

(And yes, there *will* be reviews on ANSTATMAW! Maybe not the same night, but they will be there!)

That's not true - I've seen several promos for it, along with the Simpsons.
Basically, the tag line was "All new Simpsons & Futurama", and they showed clips from the new Simpsons eps. and Crimes of The Hot.

And Sky does have some great programmes, such as Scrubs, Simpsons (duh), Star Trek, Buffy, Angel, Alias, Malcom In The Middle etc. Perhaps they do show too many USA talk shows during the day (Dr Phil, Sally etc) though.

OT: Sky can be summed up as satellite empire Rupert Murdoc of News Corp., an Australian media conglomerate which is the parent company of Fox Entertainment and multiple newspapers around the globe, owned and created. Found in practicly every country except USA, where he is trying several time to enter via buying GM's DirecTV, but has failed multiple times.

In US in is shown on Fox Broadcasting on Sundays usually either during 6pm or 7pm, depending if the Fox affiliate shows news broadcasts. Syndication on CN.

Futurama's actually had it's own promo's (i.e. nothing else accompanying it) and I've seen them a fair few times now (usually during breaks from "The Simpsons", or even "Enterprise".) The promo makes absolutely no sense whatsoever though, in terms of what the announcer is saying  ;). It does include clips from the first 5 episodes of the "fifth" season, though.

Maybe you should read the post That Guy made 5 minutes after that one, where he retract his statement. Granted it might've been more efficient for him to edit the post, but read the thread Juliet.
