The "Godfellas" episode has been nominated for a Writer's Guild Award up against three Simpsons episodes, a KOTH episode and FOX's shitty "Santa Baby" special. Wicked nice. Simpsons will probably win, but you always can have hope.

Haven't seen this ep yet(stupid C4), but I hear it's pretty darn good. Don't fancy it's chances against 3 episodes of the Simpsons though  :(

I don't know, "Godfellas" is a superb episode, and well-written. Lots of great jokes, lines and a good plot. I think Ken Keeler has a good chance to win.

Ofcourse I haven't seen those 3 Simpsons episodes, I hate KOTH and have no idea what "Santa, Baby!" is.

'Godfellas' is in my opinion, one of the very best Futurama episodes ever. Great storyline, very funny, stunning visuals and some neat 3D, deep issues, and it has a unique atmosphere.

That's why I think it should win  :)

It is a brilliant episode, one of my favourites even though it is Bender centred, I hope it wins  :)

Godfellas is one my favorites for sure. It would be great in Futurama one yet another well deserved award. Unfortunately it seems like every award, Fox acts like "oh what huh??? Futurama yeah it's just not getting the ratings we want.." Oh well it's not like Fox has ever had a decent sense of quality, outside Simpsons and The Tick.

Oh please, that wasn't some sense, Fox has, no sense of quality, it was just luck.

I do like this episode, which is saying alot coming from me as I usualy don't like Bender centered episodes...  :hmpf:
I especially liked the ending scenes.
But its not like I have a say in who wins the award so...  :hmpf:

I liked Godfellas - the pacing of the episode made a nice change, and some of the artwork is great...

Which prompt me to ax this question: is the WGA awarded on basis of the finished episode, or on basis of the script alone?

It would make sense if it was the script alone, and that would remove "Godfellas" fantastic artwork and backgrounds.

It would still be a brilliant piece of script, but you know what I'm trying to ask.
