On February 9th @ 11 PM e/p TNT is showing a special Adult Swim "All-Star Extravaganza." Futurama's supposed to be in the programming as well. This is a one-time event. Good for those who get TNT but not Cartoon Network.

Why did I say TNN in the subject? Curse this primitive board and its inability to edit thread titles!

Okay, you got me.  I thought it was TNN, too, until I read the post.  Thanks for the heads-up, though.  I hope they don't show YuYu Hakusho -- one formula mega-fight after another.

I don't think so. Drunken basketball fans wouldn't want to watch Adult Swim's anime programming anyway.

Speaking of which, this is on after the NBA All Star Game if I'm not mistaken.

TNT, another Turner Broadcasting station. That's as much as I will say.

Looks like Futurama will be on at 11pm and the episode is "Where no fan has gone before". Weird that Cartoon Network isn't planning on showing that episode anytime soon and is running Futurama (Raging Bender) at the same time.

Weird, indeed. I figured they'd just show the same stuff Cartoon Network was showing.

Weird indeed indeed. I thought CN wasn't allowed to air 4acv episodes?

What will be shown in its place, then?  Can anyone guess?  I hope they don't change their minds and show the Simpsons.  That show ran its course years ago...

So FOX own TNN? That's the only possible explanation.

it's TNT. Not TNN. i messed up in the title.

and no, FOX and TNT are not connected (or TNN for that matter). FOX is a big company under News Corp., TNN is an MTV Network under the mighty house of Viacom, and TNT is a Turner Broadcasting Network under the massive house of AOL Time Warner.

They can't possibly show the simpsons, they don't have the rights, they're just showing the adult swim cartoons.  BTW does anyone know what episode they ARE showing?  I'll probably end up taping Raging Bender anyways, but I just wanna know.

I think you might be wrong.  They just showed some snippets of "Where no Fan Has Gone Before" while previewing this line-up a moment ago including Leela fighting Shatner and Bender firing the machine gun.

TNT tends to shove shows back if pre-emption occurs. they're cable so they have more time they can afford.

Musta been a hell of a game. I wish I had tickets.

Funny that I have to go to TNT to watch Futurama.

Time Keeps on Slipping is the ep, a good one I must say.

I watched the ep on TNT after an AWESOME allstar game i might add...I think it was a good idea to play a "basketball" episode after the game, I think Time Keeps on Slipping was a good episode to have lots of people see.

That was quite the tense night last night. First the debate over which episode of futurama to watch. I was going to watch "where no fan" because I'll be getting the season 1 DVD soon. So then when the All Star game went into overtime I was switching between it and Futurama. After Futurama on CN ended, I was anxious to know if TNT would show futurama after the game ran over.(it would have been pretty funny if Futurama got pre-empted again!) Then they showed "Time Keeps Slippin" and all was right with the world. A good night for Futurama!

It really worked out perfectly.  First switching between the game and CN's Futurama, then watching the end of the game, and finally one of the funniest eps ever.  Just imagine if the game had ended on time, there would have been TWO Futuramas on at the same time.  I believe that that's never happened before in the history of life.

I haven't been following this thread, but I agree with everyone who says Time Keeps On Slippin' was a good choice. I hope the whole deal worked out, ratings-wise.

I didn't pay attention to the all-star game at all, I just watched Cartoon Network, and then happened upon TNT's Futurama while channel surfing. Good stuff. That's more Futurama in one hour than FOX has shown all season, and that's only a slight exaggeration.
