Ok, here we go. This thread is meant for all general discussion on the new episode. Special interest topics worth a new topic might be ok. Careful, if you didn't see the episode yet and read on, you will be
SPOILED

Well here we go then.

First the bad things:
* I sort of missed a well done secondary plott.
* I didn't see many movie references
Then the good thing: It was quite good still :P I liked how Gore wasn't artificially pushed into the center of the episode. Nixon was just great again, too.

Some good lines went with it and the old movie on global warming was brilliant ("Well Susie, the culprit isn't foreigners." "ONCE AND FOR ALL!" )

Also, I can see why Sarge kept moaning about "had to draw lots of robots" back then :p

Overall, 4 out of 5 points.

PS: Also think of CGEF reviews and the Capsule ;)

It's a very good episode. the storyline was good and Al Gore was so funny.

I like some of the moments with Bender and the turtle. it was sweet.

It was full of good laughs, and really only one or two flat jokes that didn't really get off the ground. It crammed every possible character into 26 minutes, but it's a premier so you kinda expect that. I give it a 8 out of 10.

"But...-" "ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!"

Pretty neat episode! :)

I'd write more on my views on it if I wasn't so damn tired, but I found the sheer amount of self-irony Al Gore showed to be funny as hell! (Well, his daughter wrote the episode, I guess he kinda felt obliged to do it) :D

Also, see someone we know? ;)

3 on PEEL.
A good episode, good plot with plenty of jokes to work with it. Doesn't particaully stand out from other good episodes though. I love the fact they had all the robots from previous eps including ones that were really minor.
Professor Wernstrum was back aswell as Gore. Good episode all the way.

I really liked this episode. Had me laughing out loud quite a number of times, especially at Fry's fruit-bowl plan. Another point I love was inspector Zoidberg figuring out the true intention of the robot party. Also, after going without any new Futurama for so long this is a breath of fresh air. It was also really rewarding for regular Futurama watchers because they had so many robots from earlier episodes appear there.

Fry's terrible jokes were out of character, but funny in their absurdity.
Agnew's headless body was amazing.
Dehydrated pool water.
Giant ice dispensers.
Sport-utility robots.

It was great. :)

I liked the whole thing with the robots partying on that island part and farting and burping at the end and the episode went really fast and it was filled with a lot of jokes.

The gay ark was really funny.

I give this episode a: B+

Wait, wait...what? M5, we only live approxamately 100 miles away from each other, yet you got to see the season premire and I didn't? WTF? I thought something broadcast by an Indy FOX network would knock *both* of us out.

On the plus side, however...I did finally find a copy of "I, Roommate" with sound. Go small victories!

I thought the episode was quite good. It started out a little slow, but turned out really funny later on. The Proffessor's memory ray to remember what happened was funny, as was his story. I found a lot of the humor pretty well done.

Good Episode, found it funny. Fry dissapointed me, but still had loads of jokes. It wasnt at good as last year's permier, "Roswell that ends Well" but it was def a good episode. The Part with the "gasses" beating up the "Ray man" was hillarious. I gave it a 3 on Peel but id say 3.5/5 Im Glad Futurama Is back on :D

Good episode, though not nearly as complex as some others. Not nearly as good as Roswell. A good episode, nonetheless. Another Bender-centric episode that wasn't incredibly irritating. That makes what, 3?

I'm so overwhelmed at actually having an episode to review, I don't think I'm capable of reviewing it! Maybe later.

Not a standout of an episode, but good. I loved seeing all the robots, even malfunctioning eddie (poor bugger blew up - go figure).

The Bender resemblance to a turtle seemed a bit weak and had so very little to do with the rest of the episode as far as I could see.

I'd write more, [Farnsworth] but I am already in my pyjamas [/Farnsworth]

Well, since hell froze over and FOX didn't have a 4:00 game, I was actually going to be able to see this episode. Until the freakish November storm with tornados showed up. The local news busted in about ten to seven with their doppler 8,000,000 weather reports and stayed on past 7:30. Thus, even when FOX dosen't preempt the show, the weather does. At least I got to see tonights crappy Simpsons episode. I think it was less funny than last week's halloween episode. Bah.

I give it a 4 I loved Nixons speech at the 'Robot Party'! and: 'oh the jedi's are gunna feel that one!' and the smashing of the C-3PO look alike, and the giant mirror frying the bystander, and burning a scorch line through the collosium, and the Robo-Keg, and tho there were some downs(mainly the mediocre performance of Fry) It was frankly the best bender centered Eps I've seen yet! :)

There seemed to be some chunks missing from the show. I know that whole Zoidberg dialogue was added in, so that replaced something else.

Wow, first episode in ages & we haven't even broken the 1-page barrier in responses.

First thing I did this morning when I got to work was put my Bender action figure on his back with his arms and legs up in the air.

A very strong 4 out of 5, (not a 5 since Fry and Leela played minor roles, but I would have been easily overlooked this if it weren't for the 6 month drought between seasons). I can't wait to view this episode a few more times just to take in all the robot goodness. And just think - in 20 or 30 years when we in the U.S. get to see this on DVD (assuming DVD - or Earth for that matter - still exists) I'll be able to frame by frame it to really appreciate all the hard work Sarge and the rest (Tom Pope's finest work) put into robot island.

Also - big props to whomever designed Farnsworth's sexy summer outfit. I've only simultaneously laughed and thrown up once before in my life.

Wonderful animation, tons of good jokes, Nibbler, and the headless body of Agnew. Too much to love here. *And* another new Fry-centric episode next week! Two in a row! My God - it's a pre-Christmas miracle!

"Ice - just like Daddy puts in his drink every morning.... then he gets *mad*." God I love this show.

A bit off-topic, but is there a site with all the episodes AVC codes including the unaired S5?

I can't be bothered to search

I've seen it! The gay ark was the best and it's always nice to see Fatbot again.

I thought the Global Warming information film felt more at home in The Simpsons than Futurama though.

Part of the problem may be that people don't remember how to tear a new episode apart. There hasn't been one in six months. :p

I'll watch it again tonight and see if I can think of something.

Finally got a chance to see it. (oh, for prior knowledge, M5 is a complete sucker :p )

Wow. After so long of no new Futurama, I have to say that I have mixed feelings about this. Don't get me wrong...I liked it. I'm just not sure if it was the best choice for an explosive season premire. Wait, of course it wasn't meant to be. Silly me.

I loved all the returning robots. I think we should have a game to see how many robots are identifiable from previous eps. The Robot Devil and Roberto! Fatbot and BillionareBot! It's great! However, speaking of robots, I did find Bender's sudden empathy for the turtles kinda forced. He's never been *that* emotionally attached to something before.

Good to see Wenstrum back. I almost feared he wouldn't return. Mayor Poopenmeyer still hasn't, though. And Headless Spiro Agnew! Great!

Oh, did anyone else think that the "Bad Wizard" taking the blame is an in-joke to us and how 'a wizard must have done it!'?

Probably a 8 out of 10.
