Semi-serious poll.. I'm new here so I hope I'm not crossing any lines in putting this up. It's all in good fun!

Sure, why not.
I'd prefer if it was shorter than the one they did already, though. And maybe dial down the meta jokes a notch.

I agree, there was a bit too much of the meta-humour, though not so much that it became a problem (imo). It might be one of those situations where a time limit would force cuts, which would improve the quality ratio.

Just a thought, but with the current shutdown and forced distancing, this seems like a time when an audio-only drama would be easier to make than most other types of entertainment. In other words, assuming the writers and actors aren't otherwise occupied, this might actually be a good time to make another Futurama radioplay.

(Responding to myself here, sort of, but anyway..)

Thinking about this a bit more, if there was just one radio play / audiobook type show every few years, that would be enough. Just to keep the flame alive. Maybe trace out the lives of the characters, have the professor go from very old to very very old. Sort of like seven up, but for cartoon characters. And one would think, with that kind of spacing, there would be enough time for enough jokes to be thought up - no dilution like you might get if you were making 24 episodes a year.

A man can dream, a man can dream...
