Yeah, I know that, I was more interested in whether PEEL'ers felt that CN doing a final, all-encompasing wrap-up episode was a good thing. Would we like that, or would that we rather wait for a possible movie (or maybe even a new FOX ordered production run)?

Hmmmm, well, if any of those things actually happened that would be great! And I'm pretty sure at least one of them will, probably the move :) But ideally, if it was a choice between CN making a final episode, or Fox ordering a new season, I'd have to go with a new season, and hopefully there would be a wrap-up episode in that. But if Fox are too blind and stupid to realise the potential and quality of Futurama, then I'd like CN to make a final episode. But I wouldn't want them to wrap everything up if that meant ruining the movie. Wow this is complicated ;)

On second thoughts, if the worst came to the worst, then I think the movie should be done when Fox has finished airing the remaining episodes, then a movie, or a trilogy of movies. And then after the movies, CN could wrap it all up with a final episode. And by that time they should have got through the 72 episode that they've bought many times over :)

Here's a thought.  What if Futurama does well enouugh on CN that they're willing to scrape together enough to buy the show or production rights off FOX (very expensive.)?  Then they could make new episodes (more money on top of that.)

That's a really cool idea, hmmmm, if only we had a 'What if' machine :laff:

I hate to break everybody's spirits here, but I think we all know that's its very, very, very (20x) unlikely that Fox's is going to make one Futurama movie, let alone three. It's very likely that "Devil's Hands" is going to be the last episode shown, and, if it's done well, can also work as a series finale. I have faith in Greoning and Cohen not to screw this up.

From Cinescape, Mar 2001
David X. Cohen: "Fry's going to be bitten by a radioactive moneky...(if we get renewed), he'll come back as Zombie-Monkey Man."

All hail the new Zombie-Monkey Man!

I'm sorry to pull a downer, reality sucks, the truth can be painful.

If CN would get the team back together, they'd do it to get more than just one episode.

Yeah, but that's assuming that Futurama does well enough to warrant a wrap-up episode(s).

CN might even foot the bill for series "6" through to 10.
