I used to not much care for "Obsoletely Fabulous," but now my husband and I like to joke "What?!" and the overall theme of the episode resonates a bit more for personal reasons. I subscribe to a magazine that often features letters to the editor from crunchy types who write in how much better it is for children not to be vaccinated and as a result get preventable diseases as well as a steady stream of nonsense about modern wheat being responsible for everything from bloat to their houses falling down. Slight exaggeration, but the message of "but you are technology!" and how inefficient Bender was once made from termite-infested wood has parallels to my life and interests now.

Counter argument: The entire "I Dated a Robot!" propaganda video the Professor shows Fry.

It could have been better, though. You know he should have shown him Electro-Gonorrhea: The Noisy Killer. I still like the jokes, except not the Liu jokes. Those parts make me cringe now.

When I first watched, " Roswell that Ends Well" I thought it was a pretty boring episode, but after a second viewing I really started to like it. I think because I noticed more of the satirical/parody aspects of the episode.

So it's been a while since I sat down and really watched an episode of Futurama, and I must say, after re-watching Fry and Leela's Big Fling, it's not nearly as good as I used to think it was. There's a few times I chuckled a bit and I appreciate the buildup of Fry and Leela's relationship but it's really not much. It's kind of fan service to the Fry and Leela shippers more than anything.

I actually thought it was nice to see the writers finally define whatever Fry and Leela as a proper couple, and also pay off all of Leela's mentions of Sean over the years - and I don't consider myself a shipper at all. Moreover, the zoo revelation is one of my favourite twists in the entire series. It's definitely held up for me on repeat viewings where many other CC-era episodes haven't.

I can agree with all the points you made being good reasons to enjoy the episode, but to me, overall, as a second viewing, I found it to be less enjoyable. And I was a huge fan of it the first time around :P

Agreed on the Cryonic Woman twist. The annoying character was played very well, because she really annoyed me!

By the "twist" in The Cryonic Woman, you mean how the first act leads you into believing it'll be a good episode, and then it turns out it's not?

Wow, don't believe I've ever seen someone straight up trash talk an episode of Futurama.
You're new, here, right? Futurama is like family to us. And no matter how great family is, it's not perfect. Uncle Ned is a great guy, but he certainly does some stupid crap from time to time. If by chance you've never perused TV Tropes, do yourself a large favour and stay the hell away. Or forever ruined your life will be.

LOL!!! That quote really made my day. I don't think I've ever had anything particularly good to say about that episode (it's watchable, I guess).
