I'm just curious how long everyone here has been a fan of the show. Obviously there will be some people, like myself who have been around since the beginning, but the show started just over 15 years ago, so that's plenty of time for people to jump on the Futurama bandwagon! I remember sitting in my friends basement, watching the first episode on March 28th, 1999, I believe it was right after the Super Bowl. I was instantly hooked, already being a big fan of The Simpsons. I stopped watching it after the first few seasons, probably not able to keep up with Fox playing musical-timeslots. I've picked it up a few times over the years, but have made a promise to watch the entire show now that it's all on Netflix. Also, hi again This is my 11th post in 14 years lol.

Since the UK premiere. Well, actually since the announcement and the preview show on Channel 4. Was that in 1999? I knew at that point that Futurama was something I desperately wanted to see.

Catched the premier's airing (in Germany, though). I was rather underwhelmed: The dubbing was sub par, and effectively killed every joke containing the slightest pun. I also did not like the "ode of PC conceptions" episodes.
When giving it a chance in the Original version, it seemed as if suddenly jokes were jumping round every corner. The series gained quite a lot overall. (Though some episodes still remain on a "Script should have been flushed down the toilet" opinion with me).

I've been watching Futurama since its premiere on Australian television, which I believe was around late 1999 or early 2000. I was a little too young to fully appreciate it, though I enjoyed the show, at least.
It disappeared off the air for a few years after it finished (broadcast) season 2, and resurfaced on a late-night timeslot in 2003. Upon seeing War is the H-Word that year (I was 14 by this point), I realised how brilliant the show was and have been a hardcore fan ever since.
Also, I could've sworn there was already a thread like this, though maybe the conversation just turned to this subject in the general Futurama discussion thread.

March 28, 1999. I watched the first episode on its first air date here in the US. Didn't watch the show religiously, but I tuned in for several episodes of that first season, and have watched it ever since.

About Aguest 2012 a friend on DA told me about it
Weird, back when I was on DA, the last thing I wanted to do was talk about tv shows. I was doing DA pretty hard - we're talking, say, 5 times a day on average - and it always made me swell up like a baboon upon even THINKING about television. My pinky finger would literally fall off every time I saw a tv, which was handy seeing as I had quite a few pinky fingers at the time. Mind you, the Aguest 2012 is a complete blur to me, so maybe I did tell you about it.

Since 2005. I watched Futurama on tv cause I couldn't be bothered changing the channel after The Simpsons had been on.
I used to be like that too. Same thing with American Dad and Family Guy.

Ever since it first aired in the UK I've been a fan. I watched the very first broadcast here, whenever that was. Not too long after the US I think...
