... this is sort of an experiment. A lot of the other games in this section are pretty close to spam. They're one-line-post threads, where not a lot of thought goes into guessing, and people guess multiple times to pad out their postcount, so I'm making this one to see if a game that requires a little more ingenuity and effort can survive. Whilst still being simple and fun, of course. So, here's how it works. - Pick a character from Futurama. Preferably a named character For example, Randy. One that people will recognise, if not one with a name. For example, the Tritonian Yeti.
- Post three facts that can be verified from watching episodes in which this character appears (ie: not just shit you've made up).
- People guess which character you're referring to. For every wrong guess that's made, you can add a fact. But that's optional. You don't have to.
- The winner then gets to pick a character, and post three facts for others to use as clues when guessing.
Sounds simple, right? Not so different from the other On-Topic games, huh? Well, there are a few additional twists. - You can only guess once every 24 hours per round. If you get it wrong, then you're not allowed to take another guess until 24 hours later.
- In the event of no activity in the thread within 24 hours of the last win, the round expires and anybody can take a turn.
- You can't use the core cast. Fry, Leela, Bender, Amy, Hermes, Zoidberg, Farnsworth, and Nibbler are all off-limits.
- When making a guess, you should list the reasons why your guess fits the facts about the character. Don't just post your guess, like some kind of idiot.
- If a winning guess breaks the rules, then the person who posted it doesn't get to go. The person who set the character to guess picks a new one, and the round begins afresh. Optionally, they may thoroughly chastise the person who broke the rules. Thoroughly. For maximum efficacy, they should be chastised to within an inch of their life.
(1) Okay. This character was introduced in Season One. (2) This character has met members of the main cast on more than one occasion. (3) This character does not live in New New York. Let's see if this lives or dies (it'll probably die, I know. I just thought it might be fun to try).

Seems like a good game. Although I don't see how some of the other games are really considered spam. Now to put my only guess to work..... Guenter? Edit*: I'll just fix that then. 1. Geunter was introduced in a Season 1 episode. 2. Geunter's met Amy on more than one occasion. If you know what I mean. 3. He currently lives on Mars, or at least as far as F&LBF he does.

Seems like a good game. Although I don't see how some of the other games are really considered spam. The sheer volume of one-line responses that they generate doesn't strike you as spam? Well then, that's nice for you, isn't it? Now to put my only guess to work..... Guenter?
Nope. Somebody else's turn to guess (and I guess you didn't see this above: When making a guess, you should list the facts about the character, and say why this matches the guess you're making). (1) Okay. This character was introduced in Season One. (2) This character has met members of the main cast on more than one occasion. (3) This character does not live in New New York. (4) This character isn't human.

Inez or Leo Wong?
Totally wong. Erm. Wrong. I see that the idea of posting why the character you're thinking of matches the specified criteria isn't going to survive long. Time for somebody else to guess! (1) Okay. This character was introduced in Season One. (2) This character has met members of the main cast on more than one occasion. (3) This character does not live in New New York. (4) This character isn't human. (5) This character was voiced by a guest star.

Wow. Stum, you've guessed it correctly. You also followed the guidelines above properly. I'm thoroughly impressed and considering revising my policy of quietly vaporising you from orbit when I finally get my gigantic spaceborne laser. Your turn. Is it really necessary to state the reason for clues like first two? The idea is to encourage people to type a little beyond the bare minimum, and generate a post that's actually worth taking a few seconds to read. I'd say points are not so good idea as these games are usually played irregularly.
Regardless of that, Stum has two points. You might end up on the leaderboard yourself at some point as well. Best not be too disparaging of those meaningless internet points yet!

Well, I see that thanks to stum, this has already degenerated somewhat. First, giving added clues is optional.
Second, while this is a fine idea for a game, and one I'd like to participate in, I'm not sure forum-related clues like stum's (2) are in the spirit. Not all of us know any famous old PEELer's, and besides, doesn't it violate the following guideline?
Post three facts that can be verified from watching episodes in which this character appears.
Indeed. I hadn't thought that this game would become derailed quite so quickly, but I suppose it's only going to go further downhill from here. I guess that the experiment is concluded, and the data obtained suggests that a game which encourages a little thought can't survive on PEEL. At least, not a PEEL with the forum's current... um, shall we say composition? Anyhow, I see only one option here now:

Consider yourself warned - this character is obscure.
1 - Only appeared in season 1 2 - Uttered exactly 2 lines 3 - He likes Hermes
The 2980 Olympics boy? 1- Appeared in "A Flight to Remember" 2- "You're my hero, Hermes! I'm gonna be just like you!" - "I'm just like Hermes! I'm just like--" 3- He did. But now he's limboing up in heaven.
