I know I am.  It's hard keeping interest in a show that is barely on tv :/  Maybe its just cause i havent watched an episode in like 4 months that im losing interest.  But like i can barely bring myself to update cgef or my  site anymore.  I dont see a big reason to.  even though the net actually does need me to help it.  I've just lost hope in futurama  :( because its a lost cause.  what with being cancelled and all.  Futurama has changed my life and many others.  Ive met people because of futurama that changed my life.  And by watching futurama it opened me up creativly wanting to be a graphics desginer.

Whats funny is, when i got a ps2 the other day, i tried playing the futurama dvds in it cause i dont have a dvd player and was really sad they wouldnt play because theyre region 2.  I knew they wouldnt play on it, but i got my hopes up thinking maybe they would.  and when they didnt, i was like all sad  :(  maybe i just need to watch futurama some more.  I really do want to watch those dvds, and i really wish fox would just release them in the US so everyone could have the warm feeling of watching futurama  :(

i know im just rambling, but eh.  peel needs me to ramble every once in a while.

As a fan-artist I've still got a lot of things to keep me going, despite the shite treatment of the show - but if it wasn't for that...  :hmpf:

I haven't lost interest as such, but right now I'm working my way through the Next Generation DVD's, so I haven't seen many episodes of Futurama recently.  My interest will probably be rekindled when Futurama's 2nd season DVD's are released.

Nope, still haven't lost interest. Still watch one episode a day, on average. And once the start to air season 3 and 4 here in the fall, I'll get into it once more. If not for any other reason, then to see how they butcher those brilliant jokes in the translation (thank God it's only in closed caption, and not sunchronized).

And once the season 2 DVD is released; [Zapp]Baby, it'll blow your mind![/Zapp]

Ofcourse all the fanart/fanfics help a great deal.

It's really difficult to keep Futurama in mind if it's only on six days a week, I agree with you!   :D   :D   ;)
No I'm NOT losing interest in Futurama, I just sometimes prefer chatting to my friends if I can convince someone to tape it for me...

Just like The Simpsons....that it can just money off The Simpsons products there's no reason to make the show as good it was before and they still make money!

I haven't really been watching the show much, but I draw the characters a lot and read the comics, which are just as good, and sometimes even better, than the show. And they're a helluva lot better than the new Simpsons comics, which lost their luster a while back.

Keep a video like I do.

Futurama products are entirely unpopular anyway, so marketing them would likely be a waste of time. I can barely find any Futurama stuffs anywhere.

I can't say I'm losing interest. I may retire from fic writing soon after finishing TFZ. College is looming over me, promising no time to write except for homework :)

So I still love the show and I always will.

I still love Futurama, and whenever my brother puts on a tape or whenever I get chance to watch my DVD's (I find that allowing others a restricted access programme helps keep them sweet).. the sound of the theme tune brings a warm glow of anticipation. Anticipation of watching the show. Anticipation of remebering watching when I'm done.

Futurama won't die out for me, I plan on buying all the DVD's as they come out (no not every copy) and when I win the lottery, I'm buying the rights to the show from FOX, then hiring PEEL as a writing staff, before going back into production.

Yay.

Read VF's post, and then pretend I said it. I love Futurama as much as ever, but it's hard to show "interest" when FOX refuses to show new episodes and Matt Groening seems to be unconcerned with the show's future.

I just thought of something. Maybe FOX will release Futurama DVDs in the US when it goes off the air. Did you notice that the X-Files Season 1 DVD came out recently now that its off the air? Anyway, Futurama still ROOOOOOCCCKSSS!!!

Don't play Mr SmartAss. You're long enough here to know that this is something I won't allow here. Cut it or be cut. -- mArc

I would add that since I didn't know until a kind PEELer (blahness) explained via email, I hope that I can be forgiven.

I'm not losing interest in it, I love it.  I need the new DVD's, I think I'm going to wear the season 1 DVD's out.

As others said, FOX's treatment of the show sucks as always, but Matt G's seeming lack of interest in the show almost pisses me off more.  I want the show dammit, not video games and bendy toys(though these are nice on their own).

Bart182, if you've got $99(I know it's a lot if you're young, in school, etc.) you can get a Daewoo 5700 DVD player(they may have the new 5800 by now) from Sam's club.  You can hack the region codes with the remote control(nice and easy!) and it has a built in PAL-NTSC convertor, so it's got all you need.  It's also a fine DVD player on it's own.

Yes, if it's a Region 2 DVD player. Since you're from England, your standalone DVD player, or the DVD drive in your PC will play the Seson 1 DVD.

Bart182's problem is that American PS2 and DVD players are region 1. He need a multi-region/regio-free palyer, like the one bankrupt talks about.

Sorry mArc. I really didn't know tho'. I won't talk about it in future, as I don't really want to be castrated.
That is what you meant by "cut" isn't it?

Mmmm... No, "to lost interest" isn't the certain expression, but I undestand Jon.

I don't watch episodes every day 'cos I don't wanna get sick of them, but of course I still watch the episodes in the same dosis than before. The problem is: there are not too many episodes and you obviously have to take a break for some time. In my country they still have to air the 4th season... I have watched the other seasons a lot of times yet... but when they air the 4th season, sure I'll watch it, and enjoy it!
