I like Season 4 the most because of its abundance of classic episodes. Don't get me wrong, Seasons 1-3 had classics, but I think Season 4 had the most. I also think it had more of an emotional feel than the first three seasons.
I certainly don't have anything against season 4, but I think that season was at its absolute best when it was going for the weird sci-fi episodes (ie. Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles, The Farnsworth Parabox) or just being all-out hilarious (ie. Less Than Hero, Spanish Fry). The Sting is the only "emotional" episode that season that really, really got to me... Other than that, it's got an abundance of pretty mediocre episodes. Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch, Love and Rocket, A Taste of Freedom, Where No Fan Has Gone Before (it's really a bit of a task to sit through if you're not into Star Trek), Bend Her, Obsoletely Fabulous... Granted, none of them are particularly bad, but for the most part, I could take 'em or leave 'em.

Am I the only person here who adores "Love and Rocket"? I think it's the perfect blend of hilariousness, shippiness, sci-fi and absurdity; everything I love about the show.
I love Love and Rocket! and not just because I think Sigourney is [Zapp] very. sexy. [/Zapp]

I already written in some threads that what my favorite seasons were before 2010.
Here's my order of favorite seasons since 2010:
Season 7A: Provided us with awesome episodes! What's not to like about this season? It had everything a Futurama fan could ever want. Hermes turning into a robot, Bender a paparazzi, an episode where Bender finds the meaning of life and becomes a father, Oktoberfest and Fry and Leela finally got it on! Plus, we got to see Farnsworth's parents and brother, and an Ocean's 11 style heist. Very awesome and super cool season!
Season 6A: Second best season because the show came back and characters got to be paired up with other characters you don't normally see them with. Hermes and Bender go on an adventure (wish they could've gone on another one) and Bender and Amy fight for the right to marry. Zoidberg and Cubert were a great pair. They go to a robot evolution planet, and hyperintellegent cats invade!
Season 6B: Very cool season this one was! Bender witnesses a mob hit, Leela hunts down a whale, Fry a cop, they meet Presidents in a historical time period, Fry reintroduces the future to the cold, and a triolgy where we see them in different sorts of animation.
Season 7B: The only good episodes from this were The Inhuman Torch, Calculon 2.0, Assy Come Home, 40% Lead Belly and Game of Tones. Sorry to say but this was the worst season ever. (no offense to anyone who liked this season) Because it was the last one possibly ever and for reasons I've already talked about in another thread I started.
I suggest you ignore what I'm about to say here......
I know you all have your own opinions but.............Leela was indeed the Meg Griffin of the last season. If the writers really enjoyed making Leela be in horrible sitautions and making her get ordered around and other things too, why don't the writers just have came out and did what they probably really wanted to do? Make her die a violent horrible death. Deep down inside, that's probably what the writers wished they could do with her if some of them created the show. Putting a character in a horrible situation thinking it will make a great story all in the name of comedy. Well, sometimes it isn't comedy. It's funny when it happens to other cartoon characters, but some not.
And then have Fry be the spaceship captain (since the writers are so in love with him) and replace Leela with a girl who's just as average as Fry is? Just stating how I feel. If i offended anyone. I apologize.
Agree that Fry is put in bad sitautions and the writers would never turn him into a tentacle monster only to get kidnapped and tortured because of it.
That's all I have to say about that. Peace.

Season 7A: Provided us with awesome episodes! What's not to like about this season? The huge dip in quality for the show? The high number of sucky episodes? an episode where Bender finds the meaning of life and becomes a father At what point did Bender find the meaning of life in "The Bots and the Bees"? Most of the things you've listed aren't things I ever had any desire to see. Did anyone else really care if they saw Bender as a paparazzo or not? Also, Fry and Leela first get it on (as far as we know) in "The Prisoner of Benda". Not in this season. This consistent complaint of yours is completely absurd. Leela didn't have anything particularly horrible happen to her in 7B, really. A few not-particularly nice things happened in order to kick off storylines. But more importantly, the idea that she was singled out is ridiculous. This is the season where Fry was stranded on a planet where he could be killed at any minute and was completely abandoned by his best friend, Bender has to go and live (essentially) alone in the arctic with nothing to do and Fry has to relive a horrible death over and over and over again until the other characters can figure out how to stop it from happening. Agree that Fry is put in bad sitautions and the writers would never turn him into a tentacle monster only to get kidnapped and tortured because of it. They basically did do that in "The Mutants are Revolting", though. Yes, he wasn't kidnapped and tortured as a result. Leela wasn't tortured, either, for the record. People certainly responded to him in a much meaner way that they did to Leela's tentacles.
