...I don't know where to begin. Oh wait, yes I do. For future reference, questions like this belong in the general Futurama discussion thread. Even that's a stretch, to be honest. But, that's probably the best place. And if you need to know, many of the ladies here seem to find Fry at least superficially attractive, so I suppose there's worse characters to be compared to. That's a weird use of eyeroll, by the way. edit: Beamer, you bastard. I called him. Did you not hear?!

So you have eight fingers, an overbite, and huge eyes? By the way, I agree with the others. This doesn't need its own thread.

Good thing it doesn't have its own thread, then.

Dude, seriously? Come on, the spamming's getting more than a little out-of-hand here. It's a forum, not a chat room. You really should read the rules sometime. And this is coming from me, of all people.

The black Futurama cast should feature black hair (except Hermes...blonde might be the sharpest contrast) About the yellow: Agree that the clothing colour does not harmonise with yellow skin. The only familiar looking character is probably Leela, as blue-ish hair was already established in Simpsons as normal colour.

I thought the animation was one of the few things that was still good about The Simpsons. The most noticeable difference in the skin for me would've been the weird shade of yellow their skin was coloured during most of season 10 (except for maybe season 12's Tennis the Menace when they were experimenting with digital colouring for the first time).

I honestly can't see much of a difference between the two. I think they'll blend together just fine.

No, really, the animation on the old episodes is lovely.
Nope. Wasn't being sarcastic. The animation in the earlier seasons is pretty crappy compared to the new animation.

I like them both for different reasons. The animation of the old episodes was fantastic BECAUSE of the mistakes and the weird quirks in it. It gave it charm and character. Above all, it really sealed it as a perfect representation of the industry standard at the time - which I think can still be said about the animation of the new episodes. The show looks different because no studio animates the way they used to now, so the switch was purely due to logistics as opposed to "we want the show to look flawless" or anything like that. There is no better or worse, just different. You can like both styles for what they are.
But I still don't think (aside from obvious things like the more constant incorporation of 3D animation, difference in skin tones, etc.) that the new Simpsons episodes are all that aesthetically different from the new Futurama episodes, and therefore I think the two worlds will blend just fine, visually speaking.
