All of those seasons were bad. Very bad indeed.

The crossover

There's going to be a crossover with The Simpsons. That isn't news; it's olds.

There'll be promo images and clips for that one, single episode, but not for months and months - and arguably, they should go in the crossover's thread rather than here.

Then the episode will air and people will discuss it in its thread. Maybe it'll get its own review thread like the show's real episodes.

There might be tidbits of news about DVD releases and the like, but that'll all go in the respective thread for DVD releases.

Comics live on, but no one really cares about them so they go in the comics thread.

The show might get picked up for re-runs to air on some channel, but that's the most mundane, boring news in the world.


So, unless the show gets revived, there will be no more Futurama news fit for this news thread.

Since there's really hardly any news anymore, this thread might be able to survive until the crossover, depending on when it airs. It could be in eight months, and it could be in a year. Only time will tell.

Are they? I'm going to bet right now that, when The Simpsons crossover finally airs, the general consensus will be that it never should have been made (like most new Simpsons episodes).

I hope I'm wrong. I just don't think it's likely.

I think most people simply won't care, and even if it turns out terrible (which it will) there'll at least be the novelty of seeing Homer and Fry on-screen together.

I'm going to into the episode expecting it to be non-canon for both Simpsons and Futurama, as I'm sure many others are. If it makes sense in both continuitys, then I'll accept it as canon, but if it doesn't, I'll just act like it never happened.

That said, though, I'm also going to go into it expecting it be very entertaining, and at the very least, so-so. It'll be fun to see the whole Crew back, especially in such an unusual situation.
