Favorite first season episode

WOAH. I didn't know there was an abridged version of the first season with only five episodes!

There's only 13 episodes in the first season, so why not put them all on the poll? My particular choice isn't even there!

But this is how I'd order season 1:

1) A Flight to Remember
2) Hell is Other Robots
3) I, Roommate
4) Space Pilot 3000
5) My Three Suns
6) Fry and the Slurm Factory
7) A Fishful of Dollars
8) Love's Labours Lost In Space
9) The Series has Landed
10) A Big Piece of Garbage
11) Mars University
12) Fear of a Bot Planet
13) When Aliens Attack

Overall, I find season 1 to be very solid; easily Futurama's most consistent batch of episodes. It doesn't have many absolutely stellar episodes though, so it's not my favourite.

If I had to choose one episode, it would be "I, Roommate".  But it seems not to be on the poll.

My ranking of season 1 episodes goes like this, though:

My favorite is A Big Piece of Garbage. I like it because it had alot of character development, especially with Farnsworth, and a very cool sci-fi/environmentalist storyline.

Hmm... for me, it's got to be either Space Pilot 3000 or a Fishful of Dollars. But I also really enjoyed I, Roommate. Tough decision is tough.

That one would be my favorite if the Countess (Bender's GF) were a little more of an interesting character. Yeah, I know she's supposed to be a parody of the girl in the Titanic movie, but couldn't they have given her at least a little more of a likeable personality? That's my only problem with the episode, all the rest of it is excellent, especially Zapp.

I love that one mainly for the song, although the story was pretty good too.
 Actually, now that I think about it, every episode that the robot devil sings in turns out to be great, so no wonder this one rocked, as it was the first of a bunch.

Fry and the Slurm Factory is my favourite, and I'm annoyed it isn't on your poll. 4/10 thread, wouldn't visit again.

Though this poll is obviously lacking, it does happen to contain two of my top three episodes from the first season--the pilot, and "The Series Has Landed." But, following the example set by UrL, I suppose there's no harm in providing my rankings for the whole of season one (which is, in my opinion, the show's weakest season (though even at that, it's still pretty good); I am of the belief that the original run of Futurama got consistently better season-by-season):
