But in Bender's Game, it was revealed that Nibbler was left on Vergon 6 by mistake. He was inadvertently introduced to Leela, and inadvertently saved by her. He couldn't have seen it coming, neither. Cause as he said in "Why of Fry", his species lack the ability to time travel. But it would make sense that over the years, the Nibblonians have gotten smarter and smarter just like we have. And it would make sense that Nibbler wouldn't travel back in time, no matter how important. The proof for that lies in BBS. So however Fry is put into his mother's dreams in 7ACV23, I don't think it's that much of a complaint/mind twister. I wouldn't go off to say that it's lazily just slapped in there, either. Because after all, the Nibblonians are Twice as Advanced as the people of Earth. And in Futurama's New New York City, things are pretty advanced.

Well... I don't think that's relevant at all. He knew that Fry would be the only one who could save the universe from the brain spawn, so the Nibblonians clearly have some kind of ability to see the future.
Yeah, true indeed. But if he had known that he could have been stranded on Vergon 6 , he wouldn't have gotten himself distracted and gotten himself stranded there. Also, I don't think it was Nibbler who predicted the evil brain spawn taking over the universe thing. He said "his people fortold it" which presumably meant the grand council. Also, he wouldn't go to as far as travel to the past though. That was established in BBS. In a dream, possibly. There's no harm being done there.

I actually had that same though the other day, and I think it could go either way at this point. I still don't buy that the Nibblonians had enough investment in Fry's love life or personal life to have given Leela the name "the other" JUST because they end up together. It doesn't have any bearing on the episodes when Fry's special abilities came into play. But yeah, it certainly isn't something that I felt required much more elaboration. It almost seems like a line they wrote in so they could leave the door open for a future installment in the brain spawn/Nibblonian saga without having anything further planned. And yeah Gorky, I was speaking entirely in regards to Spanish Fry's lack of importance in the show's mythology. It is still an absolutely hilarious episodes, and one of my favourites for sure.

Yeah.
Also, is anybody else here expecting the PEELer "ericisbacchus" to come back here soon, and tease us about how he's got a DVD copy of Meanwhile, similar to how he had a DVD copy of Reincarnation last year?
I can bet tons of money he'll be here to show us the DVD, and make us envy him about it real soon.

The beheading scence from "The Sting" is my favourite part. Good thing I never watch Futurama on TV.
I only watch the new ones on TV, myself. duh...The rest I either watch on DVD or online.

Yes, ALL TV is edited for more commercials.

It was edited for commercials, the best jokes are always cut such as the beheading joke.

What he means to say is that, in syndication/reruns, episodes of certain shows are trimmed for time by certain networks in the US, and inconsequential moments like that are generally the first to go, regardless of how hilarious they are.
It's a sucky practice and generally doesn't happen outside of the US (censorship-based cuts aside, of course).

Maybe a tap dancer? When comedy central said things like "Futurama will be gone before you know it" they were right these final episodes are going by too fast
Second [/Scruffy] I just can't believe that as of Friday of next week, Futurama will officially be over. It's crazy- I got into the show at the start of this year, and now it's ending near the end of the same year! It's gonna suck not having any new shows to look forward to seeing, but I guess I'll just have to watch every episode ten more times again to ease the pain.

That's 140 episodes at about 23 minutes each... viewed ten times each... you've got 536 hours of viewing to do, which is well over 20 days straight if there's no time taken off for sleep or church or pooping. Godspeed, Mister M_R_M.
