So, Minor topic change, but what will become of this forum after the final episode? Will business go on as usual, or will everyone just sort of........leave? I don't want PEEL to die off or become entirely off-topic in every thread, like many other forums i've visited at other times.

Hopefully we can keep everything up and running when Futurama ends...

I'd imagine we'd go about our business, and Off-Topic will remain as active as usual. The On-Topic boards will certainly become less active over time, but I'm sure not much will change.

Yeah, pretty much what happened last time the show ended. On-topic posts became a little more sparse and infrequent, everything else was business as usual.

Yeah, and plus, we still do the Pixel Perfects, Episode Ratings, Reminds you of Futurama thread, they're all still active. Maybe a teeny bit less active.

Plus, this news thread will still probably be up for any revival news, since there's going to be alot of talks about it after the season is over.

This guy doesn't seem associated with the show....and anyone conducting live chats with Netflix customers is almost certainly a customer service rep or someone else without any actual clearance for that type of information, which the higher ups wouldn't allow to leak out so easily. Not buying that it's anything but a randomNetflix employee speculating at this point.

This applies to the previous chat log that was posted as well. That struck me as a c.s. rep speculating, not actual info. I used to work at a Blockbuster, and I could easily tell customers "there's probably gonna be a new Superman movie" (or whatever), but I didn't have any actual information outside the Internet despite that my job revolved around movies.

.... Been there, heard that.

I actually had a netflix chat about Futurama 2 weeks ago (the night Leela-Genestalk came on), as you all saw. Gordon also posted his chat on his Save Futurama facebook page.

It didn't go anywhere at all. It's nothing to get all hyped about. Anybody could message Netflix Chat. Also, the guy from Netflix Gordon was talking to didn't say a word about what they know/hope about the show's future. Only that they know it's a big show. At least my convo got somewhere, and the person I talked to gave us a little slim hope that Netflix might be considering it.

If you wanna know what he said, go back to page 9 of this thread.

Plus, this Gordon guy is a fan like you or me. He only knows as much as we know.

This guy doesn't seem associated with the show....

He set up the Save Futurama Again petition, and he's followed by Lee Supercinski and Maurice LaMarche. Lee retweeted that Netflix tweet too.

That clip bored me. I dunno about this ep. I have pretty low hopes for it.

In other news, if you look on the CC Futurama website, there's another clip involving Zoidberg and Marianne meeting.

I didn't watch the clip, but going by the synopsis on Infosphere, I don't have very high hopes for it either. It's got a Zoidberg-centric plot, which usually means failure, and it introduces a new character, Zoidy's girlfriend. Only problem with that is the fact that this is the second to last episode! They had to have known this by the time they were writing it.

However, it may actually turn out surprisingly good. According to infosphere, Meanwhile is the 2nd part of a 2 parter episode, which means this will episode will be part one. Basically, I'm saying the plot may turn out to be better than it seems, as it's setting us up for the grand finale.

Yeah, I saw that hug too. The joke tough, pretty lame.

We had a whole discussion about this, the fact that it'll be a two parter was never really confirmed...

Based on Bender's attitude in that clip, I'm hoping this episode gives us more dark humour like in "Assie Come Home". :evillaugh:

I don't think anyone ever actually confirmed it was a 2 parter episode. I remember a conversation a while back about whether it was or not, but I could be wrong. I agree though, I watched the clip, and I'm not going to judge an entire episode on 50 seconds. We'll see how it goes. Could be good, could be not. We shall see.

It better be a good episode. I think it could easily be the worst of the season.

I mean robots tap-dancing?? Zoidberg forgetting that he's a decapodian? Those 2 facts alone give me low feelings for the ep.

Saw it coming. I bet it's another attempt at being sad (Like The Bots and The Bees, but that almost failed at showing any kind of emotion).

There is probably a sad moment in end, related to Zoidberg's relationship, I would guess. It's most likely not teary-eye -emotional though.

I'm not waiting much from this episode either, hopefully it'll be enjoyable or surprising after all.

I can tell this episode will have a subplot of Bender competing in tap-dancing.
But I can't see a way the writers could fuse the subplot and the main plot together in the end, like that way where they fused the plots together in TRoAE.

That's slightly reassuring to see him say that, but I'll still go into the episode with low expectations.

But if the episode does end up being good, then we've got a really impressive string of great episodes (I'm confident that Meanwhile will be good). If Saturday Morning Flunk Pit didn't bomb so hard, then the streak would be even longer.

I agree 100% with you UnrealLegend.

This half-season is alot like Season 6A. I mean we had a bad, bumpy start, but we've slowly have been getting really good episodes. The last 2 were awesome! It seemed like everything went uphill after "Saturday Morning Fun Pit", which I'll admit I liked!

I mean everything I've seen about this episode looks plain awful to me so far. I mean how can Zoidberg forget he's a decapodian? Why would he call himself a giant crab?? Why would the future in a 1000 years still have pacemakers? We'd have much more advanced technology by then. Also, why does Marianne where such 20th Century clothing? And the humor looks stale, so far. And I could have swore I heard Zoidberg say "Hello you" somewhere. I can't remember where though. And it may just be the ultimate example of Futurama recycling old jokes/subplot ideas. Just like it's older brother "The Simpsons".

Also, I doubt this is related to Meanwhile in any ways now, after watching the table read. But the producers were right when they said it's a season that gets better as you go on. I found the past 2 episodes top-notch for the new run in general.

And what Maurice said is a little bit reassuring, it still doesn't make me feel any better about this ep.
