Isn't Floyd meant to be older than the Professor? And apparently on the commentary for "Near-Death Wish" they said that if they were going to bring Floyd into the show, it'd only be if they were renewed.

Countdown to Futurama: Fry in Tuxedo and Leela in Wedding Gown

We are just two days away from Wednesday’ big one-hour season premiere of Futurama, and today we have a couple bombshell images from the upcoming episode “Meanwhile.”

This has to be pretty hard to look at for anyone who always hoped to see Leela end up with Nibbler.

I so hoped there would be much prettier outfits for leela... Fry's is nice however, always liked that outfit^^

It says on Leela's that the outfit has been reused from 0314, which I'm assuming is 3ACV14 - "Time Keeps on Slippin'".

But Fry's says 0720 - 7ACV20 - "Calculon 2.0"?! Interesting. Well, not too interesting, we've seen him wear a tux many times before.

I hate that dress
and it said the wedding was in act 3 look at the bottom of the concept art

the show will end with that dress

but in all honesty what they wear doesn't matter as long as they get the happely ever after

Well, I'm disappointed that they're re-using Leela's dress, too. They should have put in a bit more effort for her dress since the wedding is a major part of the finale.

Hmm, after considering it a bit more, I do appreciate the continuity, too.

I think I just felt some disappointment initially because I, for some reason, was expecting a new design and looking forward to seeing it. While her dress is certainly unique, I'm still not a big fan of it. I agree with LadyBender that the BBS one was much better.

I like it also. Leela seems like the practical sort, who'd re-use a wedding dress a few times to make sure that she gets her money's worth. It's very much in character. It does make me wonder why she hasn't used that one every time she's been a bride though.

I think it's nice continuity. And Eternium, Fry's tux in "My Three Suns" is too black to match up with the new one.

That's what I tought at first, but if you look at that promo image it states 'the three suns' under the top... the bowtie and all seem to match tough

Yes, Futurama Is Really Cancelled. Showrunner David X. Cohen talks about it.

So what’s next?

Well, we still have our season coming on. I’m in kind of a tricky position where I have to tell people, "We’re canceled, and we’re on the air!" Matt Groening believes it’s our best season ever. That’s what’s immediately next for this year. Then the rioting starts. I don’t endorse violence, so I’m asking for padded rocks.

With all the hoopla over alternative distribution, are you going, “Hey Netflix, how ’bout us?”
 
We’re talking a little bit behind the scenes about it. Everybody’s said, “Well, let’s take a break first.” When we got picked up by Comedy Central, we had to take a broadcast show and somehow produce something that was better quality at less cost, and a lot of the cost came from cutting our writing staff. I think we’re all happy to take a couple of months now.

It’s amazing how many different lives the show has had.

There are a million options that weren’t there when the show started in 1999. We’ve explored two of them: moving a fairly high-budget show to cable and direct-to-DVD. I like it. It makes sense for her to wear the same dress since she's getting married to the same guy.

And since it originally came from a wedding that she never technically authorised, she probably thought "I'll use this dress again. That last wedding didn't count."

Anyway, I think there's gonna be some pretty cool stuff in this episode. Why else would they show us the main characters wearing outfits we've seen before? They're probably wanting to not spoil us.
