Interview: Billy West - The voice of Futurama, Ren & Stimpy and Doug

Quote from: Billy West
'I know we have another season to air and that's it, but you never know who might intervene,' says West. 'I know they've been pitching to online networks that are becoming viable, lucrative and important now people are actually watching.'

Interesting.

"I know they've been pitching to online networks"
There is still hope! I know not everyone would like that, but I'd take that chance. It could suitable format for Futurama.

I don't care what format it's in, as long as new Futuama is still being produced I'm happy.

I assume the budget would be even lower if they were to go online, not that it matters too much.

David X. Cohen said that they have high standards and won't revive the show again if the budget is too low, somethin along those lines.

Countdown to Futurama: Fry with a Monster Mouth

Quote from: Matt Tobey
I know what you’re thinking: There’s something different about Fry in this image from the upcoming episode, “Murder on the Planet Express,” but you can’t quite put your finger on it.

Give up? Turns out those are new shoes.

Fry with Horrific Monster Mouth? More like Horrific Monster Mouth with Fry

I'm really anticipated to see all interactions between characters and the monster and all the speculation about who's the monster. This episode has so much potential.

I suppose each crew member will have a monster look exactly like them after watching Zoidberg in the trailer.

So instead of consuming a person then shapeshifting to look identical to them like the alien in The Thing, this one shapeshifts into the person and then eats them.

It just shapeshifts into a person, eats them.
Then still is in that shape to look like the person to avoid suspicion.

I'd hate to be that guy's dentist.

So, are the characters been literally "eaten" or merely "swallowed"? If it's the former, I'm kind of worried they won't be able to write their way out without resorting to magical bullshit. We've had too many of those so far.

Yeah, there's always a wormhole or a quantum state or an invention to save them.
It would seem reasonable that monster "swallows" them and then starts to digest, so they can be rescued in the end of the episode... by Scruffy?

I know right?
Whenever the crew is in trouble, there is always a mushroom dog filled with souls exploding or a wormhole to a new place in the universe. Y'know, I'd like to see Scruffy save the crew in the end.

Countdown to Futurama: Zindy

I see now how the episode goes; Zoidberg fails to "mate" with most horrible creature. Finally he meets a girl with no sense of smell and they live happily ever after...
Well, not that last part, I doubt they will stay together after this episode. And now I see the cliché ending (or opposite of it, I hope) of their relationship. But now I'm getting ahead of myself.

In the 7B preview video, (presumably) we see the girl who falls in love with Zoidberg making out with him, but it looks like she has operation clothes on. Maybe she'll still love Zoidberg even after the nose transplant to fix her sense of smell?

Countdown to Futurama: Nurse Amy

Bit of a demotion, considering Amy has a doctorate. Probably a one-scene gag. More jokes could be gotten by asking where she got the nurses uniform in the first place...  :flirt:

This episode doesn't seem right as the first part of a two-parter season finale.
But, I think the plot will become a great one come the week after that episode.

Yeah, it's interesting to see how the two episodes are linked together.

B-plot doesn't sound very good, but deadly tap-dancing competition sounds Futurama-like plot. How can they do a tap-dancing deadly?

I'm pretty certain the episodes aren't linked at all now.

Also, guess we know which episode the scene with Bender tap-dancing on all the crews' heads is from now.

But what happend to Zoidberg's girlfriend in the sneak peek?

Zindy isn't the one who falls in love with him, she's a girl he dates online who dumps him when they meet in person due to his foul odours.

Maybe she wore it for the party.  :flirt:  Her boots seem a bit out of uniform for the dress era. They usually wore sort of big clunky white shoes back then. But then I go back far enough to remember nurses starting to wear tennis shoes caused a bit of contoversy.

Why do people still think the last two episodes are "linked," anyway? Obviously they're just doing a double-bill finale night like they did last year and someone misunderstood.

If they are unlinked, I'd probably want the final episode to be standalone, not part of a double bill. Just to make it feel more special.

I don't think they are doing the double-bill finale night anymore; according to both the Infosphere and Wikipedia, "Stench and Stenchibility" airs a week before "Meanwhile."
