Suddenly I have an opinion on Proposition Infinity. Hope she fairs better than her namesake, though.

It's a Solar Helium Mine from "The Inhuman Torch" episode.

Amazing! That simply looks so cool.
"Bender becoming a famous firefighter" - perhaps not so cool.

I see only one door. Where is the airlock?

Doors/Gates for Starships usually feature only one door in sci fi.
(e.g. Space Balls).
It just looks cooler when a Starship flies by, instead of slowly creeping through one door, waiting, with the door behind it closing, and the other airlock door starting to open.

That is seriously fucking cool.

Also, I got more of a Death Star vibe from it.

Either way, its pretty damn cool. :D

Aw, so beautiful. I always love how light is animated in Futurama. I peered closely at the mechanical contents of that orb, but couldn't quite make much sense of it. It would be cool to see it in more detail when the episode airs.

Hm, I guess. It looks like there's platforms for people to work on though. I must say it does look very cool and well detailed.

With the inclsuion of the helium mining thing, it should have a crazy/fun sci-fi twist. Plus the PE ship kitted out like a firetruck in the preview clip thing looked really awesome.

If the show comes back again, they need to do an episode about Leela becoming a paramedic to complete the set. :laff:

Futurama usually sports an art deco like 30s retro sci fi look. The animation obviously benefits from the smooth surfaces.
The "Death Star Mine" sports a rather "kit bashed" look as incoporates in Star Wars, together with the "realistic industry" being established in Sci Fi with the first Alien movie.

I like those outfits. Hopefully this won't be all we see of Nibbler.

Hang on, isn't there supposed to be a Nibblonian episode this year? Or was that abandoned or something?

Does anyone else think that Nibbler's third eye is way too high? It should be lower.

"Bender as Firefighter"
Aww, I wanted for Bender to be classified as a firetruck.

I'm loving Nibbler as a Dalmation, but I agree with UrL, the third eye is way too high.

I also agree that the eye is too high, as well as being too...erect, maybe? I feel like it usually appears floppier.

I'm looking forward to seeing Dalmatian-Nibbler, too; I thought "Nibbler on the Roof" was funny in Overclockwise, so I'm excited to see Nibbler outside of the roles of pet or ambassador again.

Good question.
I was rather thinking of AtPH: When Bender is mistaken for a something (canon), he gains that device's abilities.

The Futurama cast got word that their show is cancelled so turned themselves yellow to try and fit into The Simpsons...

Well, that "gold" coating could be the Professor's "antiheat" technology.

We have an episode called "The Inhuman Torch," in which people have begun mining helium from the sun, thanks in part to the Professor's antiheat technology.
