Hmm, I'm kind of surprised at the poll results. I didn't think there were that many more male fans than female; maybe more males just happened to answer the poll, though.

Well then again, there may be other things skewing the vote. Maybe female viewers are less likely than males to seek out internet message boards to discuss their shows, or maybe female viewers are more attracted to other areas of this message board, like fanart. Or maybe it only FEELS like there are more female members because there are a few very active female members (this means YOU, Randi )

So you're saying that futurefreak posts so much that she "feels like several women?" I don't know if you're making an oblique reference to kinky/group sex or if you're trying to get away with calling her fat.

I do know that we have (and have had) a lot of ladies on the board who've been very active and then disappeared. Usually they stop posting when they get something more interesting than PEEL (this could be anything from a boyfriend to a new career). I think that we've probably got at high as 33% female membership overall, and interestingly, about a third of those might be lesbians. We seem to have a lot more lesbians than the general population, and I'm not entirely sure why. But, blessed as we are (or have been in the past, many of them are now inactive) with an abundance of lesbians, I do wonder if that's because we have a high proportion of female members compared to other communities on the internet, or if we have a high proportion of females because lesbians are more likely to be into things like Futurama.

That's one for smarter men than I to puzzle out. The important thing to remember is that PEEL contains girls, and for whatever reason, contains a few more girls than might be expected. However, I try to treat males and females equally, so I'm not likely to discriminate based on gender when I order somebody on here to make me a sandwich.

Well I'm not making a sandwich I don't even know how to to that... besides, I'll never leave my internet fun for a boyfriend. I mean, I'd live to have one (and I am not ugly if I may say that of my self^^) there's also on boy with a crush on me but he acts quite creepy and always pinches me (really annoying) so I kinda friendzoned him...

I alsways taught there a re more men here, but since those few mi ths I've been here I did see more girls creating active accounts
