Lol did no one notice that they were on the PE ships lowering pannel XD

Agree with Eternium: Was so obvious that it was not mentioned.

That said, the plot "Romantic Holiday gone wrong" in FALBF comes to memory again. Which brings two possibilities for that setting to mind:

- The ship -including all the movable, heating, etc..- technology can be the reason for part of the romantic holiday gone wrong.
- The romantic holiday could already have gone wrong, with this scene being the episodes ending. After something like a failed over fancy holiday in some resort/whatever, a romantic dinner was improvised/conjured up with the simple means still available to these two characters at Planet Express. (Mirroring the "simple, but coming from the heart" theme incorporated in TDHAIP.)

Both are of course wild speculations. But -as the PE ship ramp was explicitely metioned- I feld the need to add possible reasons for the chosen background

Of course, the whole scene could also be of little importance to the plot. As e.g. the PE prom pic in AFWTA. Though the pic (and Leela's face) turned out to be vital plot assets, the PROM itself was unimportant.

Though this elaborate/detailed ship background seems to bear a rather significant meaning. Being on a budget, putting so much effort into a throwaway gag seems unlikely.

INCORRECT!

DXC has said that we will actually get to see the prom, somehow, so it'll either be in a flashback, or my bet is on 7ACV26 somehow. The finale involves F&L's wedding, which I'm assuming they'll make pretty grand considering how long everyone has been waiting for it for so long. Plus, the plot involves a lot of time travel, throw that in the mix and you've got time-jumping to different romantic points in their lives and stuff, e.g. travelling back to the PE prom. In another interview, I remember DXC said the finale involves their relationship and it "spans across all of time and space" or something, so I think we'll definitely be seeing the prom in some format. I hope so anyway.

Danny I have the DVD and listin to commentarys where did you hear that we will see the prom and that their relasionship will span across time and space

I listined to the commentary and they talked about Leela and the Genestalk and also Calcuion. I think it's wired they didn't metion it in the comentary
