Danny, Unmentionable just took I huge step forward. Admitting flaws in yourself is a task that's easier said then done. He's on the way to improving himself, and a little support couldn't harm. :)

I agree with Unmentionable.  I think if you look deep down inside the characters of Fry and Leela you'll realize that not only are they not compatible with one another (Leela is a self-controlling bitch), they don't really love each other on a romantic level.  It's like they're actors in a play and shakespeare has turned this into a pornography.  You'll also notice in the newer seasons that Zapp Brannigan, one of the only characters on the show with any true sense of morality and conviction, is also forced to pretend to be an ignorant doof and is repeatedly hammered with very immature and inane slap stick comedy.  It's really depressing when you really think about it.

Maybe instead of talking about tsunamis, you could instead realize that Unmentionable is merely expressing his thoughts and concerns about a show he cares about.  I don't see why you have to try and make Unmentionable feel bad just because him and Fry are true friends.  Sometimes I think most of you don't even understand the meaning of TRUE friendship to begin with.

thank you! :)

Since Fry's a cartoon character and not a real person, you can imagine that you and he will be together forever whether he has a significant other in the show or not. Problem solved.

that's the plan

Maybe, but he didn't care about feelings of TRUE shippers as well. He simply started raging and threatening. And all that nonsense about "TRUE friendship" between a cartoon character and a real person who hates the Futurama team and Leela just because Fry is a straight man... are you really sure or just trolling ?

No, I am not trolling.  Please do not jump to conclusions about people please.

I am merely stating that Unmentionable has a right to be friends with Fry.  He is also correct that the true Futurama characters would not fake being in this fake romantic relationship.  You can see it in all of the signals that they let us know about who they really are.  You can also use a bit of that big brain of yours to figure it out!

Also, please stop making stuff up that Unmentionable did not say.  He is really friends with Fry and they like each other because they have similar personalities and interests.  He's just pointing out that if the writers continue making up stuff with the direction of the show then nobody will be happy as evidence by season 7a, and also with how Fry and Leela are.  I'm most disturbed by the situation Zapp Brannigan is in.  He is a bright star of true compassion and empathetical capability, forced by his contract to partake in these absurd recreations of deplorability. :hmpf:

And how Fry and Leela "thing" should be written now? Prior to Season 7 I remember massive discussions about them belonging together. Now when they've got together nobody likes Season 7, right? Do I understand your or/and Unmentionable's point correctly? Anyway I do like Season 7A. After Season 6B it's a big improvement for me. Even if Fry and Leela aren't a good match, then Fry just need to find a better girlfriend, I think.

Regarding Zapp: now he acts better than in the original run, in my opinion.

like i said, they should just break up forever & he should find a boyfriend. he's acting like he's somebody else. it gets me frustrated. since Fry loves me & doesn't love Leela, what makes you think he loves any other girl? also he can't decide on a girl he likes anyway so he probably doesn't care about any of them. i revealed the truth about Fry. got a problem with that?

i think Zapp is becoming more of a jerk. lol

Wow these are exactly my thoughts! (especially about Zapp I think that he's a good guy but the society made him act like that  :() I don't ship Fry/Leela I prefer them as friends because they help and support each other and nobody gets hurt, I don't know why the writters made Fry fall in love with Leela, I know she is a nice person but...obviously she can't accept Fry as he actually is (Do you remember Lars?),is nice that Fry tries to be a better person but...Leela?? she tried to change? I don't think so, and that is why I don't like that pairing, because I don't see  development on Leela yet.

But of course, that's ok if everyone else like them! I'm not going to kill everyone for have their OWN opinion and that is my opinion. And *this goes for Unmentionable* relaaaax is just a cartoon/show,even if it makes you happy and if you have a crush on a fictional character that is ok too!! (I have crushes too and Futurama helped me when I was really depressed years ago) ,please don't forget if you like it is because makes you happy and not sad or angry.

And remember they happiness that futurama brings you is real but is only a cartoon! is there more stuff in this life, please don't go lost in the fantasy because you'll lose the wonderful things that this life can offer you.

and I'm sorry for put my nose/words in this, and if I said something wrong or offensive,I'm deeply sorry!! (also my english isn't the best!)

And now about the news...amarautuf? what kind of title is that? ahah I bet the writters were drunk when they thought about that  :laff:

It's still not that clever.

Certainly the "Backwards" title does not seem to be the most clever one.
Yet, sometimes the unpromising titles featured the best episodes, while other more clever ones were rather meh.

E.g. "Fun on a bun" was considered really sceptical by many, and turned out to be season 7As favorite. While "The Butterjunk Effect" was a title containing various meanings ("Butterfly effect", "Junk" as well for drugs and the Butterfly's genitals, "effect" refered as well to the effect on Leela/Amy as sports drug, as well as the effect it had on Fry), it turned out to be the least popular episode of season 7A (at least if I remember the polls here on Peel correctly).

To be fair, I remember more people complaining about "The Butterjunk Effect" as a title than any other season 7 episode.

But for the most part, yes. Same thing happened with season 6, too.

If we can take anything from new era Simpsons episodes, moderately clever plays-on-words as episode titles are more annoying than amusing. But to be honest, it really shouldn't be fussed about that much. It's a fucking title.

Unmentionable, I don't mean to be an ass,  but you should seek help. You wish for a romantic relationship with a fictional character and that's not healthy at all.

I know it because I was there. At a certain point in my life, I was talking regularly to a picture. And the painting on my wall. And to persons that weren't there.

It all started with a wished relationship. Something that could not, and will not happen. So I coped with my imagination. However, this isn't the right thing to do.

Someone finally confronted my about my problems, and I've fixed them... It was easy. This is not a grave situation. However, do not let it drag !

Just consult once or talk to someone about it, I assure you it's more easy than it seems.

----------------------------------------------------

On another note, I can't wait for the next half. I wonder if they will get renewed.... I wish they do. Eric Rogers said on Twitter CC didn't have to take a decision until January. Oh, the suspense...

I guess the ratings achieved were comedy central's limits for renewal.
Clearly over it: Renew
Clearly under it: Cancelation.
Yet, Futurama might possibly have hit said limit exactly, and a decision might therefore not be too easy. Other key factors could come into play, especially the ratings of other shows competing for ressources.

Annie nominations have been released. Futurama was only nominated for one (1) category. Eric Horsted has been nominated for writing in an animated television/broadcast production for his work on this past season's season premiere, "The Bots and the Bees". Unfortunately, he is up against two other nominees from "The Simpsons", the famous co-producer of "South Park" Trey Parker, as well as all three current-running Dreamworks television series, including Futurama's upsetter from the 2012 awards, "Penguins of Madagascar". In related news, Rich Moore, who has previously done directing for our love "Futurama" as well as its older brother "The Simpsons" and has won an Annie for his work on perhaps the best episode "Roswell that Ends Well", has been nominated for directing in this year's animated smash, "Wreck-it Ralph". Best of luck to Rich, us Futurama fans are rooting for you! Well, not like you need it. That movie had a a pretty stunning plotline (did not expect that twist at the end). Here's the full list of nominations, incase if you want to see if your other favorite programs or films have made it to the final round.

Yeah, Futurama is probably not going to win this. But at least they got nominated. Unlike "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" who has, yet again, gone home with not even a shout-out. Rigged, anyone?

Honestly I do too, I see at least another full production season of (26 episodes) after 7B.

But I kinda hope that's it.. or nine production seasons and a movie.

That'd be perfect.
