Wow, really. Bringing back Guenter, possibly one of the most annoying characters in Futurama? Give me a break.

Good, now Cubert's been toned down too much it'll be nice to have some more annoying character screen time again. They better not tone Guenter down. Actually hold on a moment, I'm thinking something, a Guenter and Cubert scene? That could work!...

I really loath Guenter.  We lose Nibbler, Dwight, and Cubert and we get a fucking monkey in turn.  I wish his hat was destroyed and he was run over by the slurm truck so we wouldn't have so see him again.

Guenter or Gunther or however you spell it is probably my most hated character in Futurama.  I can't be the only one who didn't think Fry should feel bad for taking that rodent down a few pegs.  I was like "Shut up Leela, that monkey shouldn't be such a smug douche if he's going to cry like a little bitch when the joke is on him for once rarrghhh ragggeee rawwwwwrgggghhhhh i hate that little rodent"

I hope he dies.

That's the reason I dislike Leela.
E.g, "Raging Bender": De facto she was allowed to dish out all the time, while insisting all the time she was the REAL victim.

(Dear Futurama authors: Should one of you happen to lurk in this forum: Maybe you should contemplate making Guenther the ship's captain, I'd consider this a big improvement )

I'm not sure.   I'm guessing the episode will focus on him arguing with Dr Banjo (who is another character I really didn't care for) or something.

I was about to say that, but unfortunately he's more important then an executive, and he runs Fox not the Box Network.  So we'll never get to see him turned into a fine powder and poured on the Professor's junk.   

Oh and I just remembered where I recognize that gorilla from.  Pretty tasty stuff.

Wow I didn't realize there was hate for Guenther. That episode for me is just a send up to all college comedies ever and the douchey friend turned ally was just part of the joke. I like him more than Cubert.

Guenther never really felt like much of an ally for me.  For one thing he never apologized for being such an obnoxious twat.  Sure he saved their lives, but you'd have to be a sociopath not to do anything in that situation.

I guess it doesn't help that Mars University is probably my most disliked episode of the original run, and probably my least favourite episode ever.  It was never one i really liked, but for a considerable amount of time, it was the only episode that Sky One in the Uk ever played, which has killed it for me.  If it's on, I'll turn it off.

Mars U was a bit of a non-ep for me as well, but I never hated it. And although I never really liked Guenter either, and I get why people hate him, but his return may paint him in a different light.

I like MU, but it's generally overshadowed by the rest of Season 1.

I guess it is probably the worst of the season other than maybe "When Aliens Attack"...

What he said.  Mars University was by far my least liked episode of Season 1, and Guenther was the reason why.  I despise that arrogant little toerag.  Which is a shame, because there were some great lines in the episode -- "I don't know how to teach, I'm a professor!"

I actually agree with Spacedal here- that episode is completely underrated.
As for Guenter, you're not supposed to like him. Clearly, he served his purpose.

I'm not sure.  We're supposed to feel sorry for him when he starts crying and questioning his existence, and be happy for him when he finds His Life's Purpose.  We are never at any point asked to view Michelle as anything over then a selfish, vindictive, hypocritical shrew or feel sorry for her or anything besides hate her guts, but we are suddenly supposed to feel sorry Guenther for having the tables turned on him.  He got exactly what he deserved for going out of his way to antagonise Fry, and then got a happy ending he didn't really deserve in the slighest.  At least Dr Banjo apologised for being such an insufferable douchebag (or at least was pretty nice to the Professor in the end), even though I can't say I like him all that much.

Dr Banjo was way more likable than guenther, because it Banjos job, sort of, to prove The Professor wrong and his own theory right, while, aforementioned, there was no benefit for Guenther being a douchebag.

...I crave Futurama news... And just plain more Futurama! I haven't watched reruns of any kind in so long either. It's getting to me. Maybe I'll actually go through with a Futurama commentary marathon to listen to how the creative process of the show evolved over time just before the start of the (for the umpteenth time) potentially final season.

Weird but...I don't hate Guenter, just I don't care about him (but Mars University is a good episode!).

Anyways,if he is going to appear again...and if that idea is going to be an episode,I'm sorry but no,isn't a good idea...personally I don't know how to feel about 7B yet because 7A was good but I'm feeling that needed something for be a REALLY good season, but I really LOVED 6B so yeah,I can have  hopes.

But yeah,that isn't a good idea.
