No Fnord!  Don't steal my clever observation!  Steal Julia's instead!

I actually didn't notice the animation on Munda's tail, but I may go back and watch it just for that.  That sounds pretty fascinating.

We have seen Leela in that see through teddie before, but she was snoring like a hog and with a trashy book about heroic animals on her face, so this probably is Leela at her sexiest.  It's odd how a bit of fancy underwear/lingerie can actually look more... TITillating then showing a straightup nude.

You know, I wonder where Leela got all of that experience pole dancing.  Thinking about it, she's perfect for it.  Strong, limber, flexible, toned.  She could probably make a decent secondary income dancing on the side if push comes to shove.

What a great episode! So many funny moments. Poor Scruffy, the goldfish lives on in our hearts. The reaction to Bender's "aww" had me rolling. Leela was really bearable in this episode (she's my favorite character, but she can be a little too bossy and opinionated sometimes). Being a daughter, I reacted the exact same way as Leela when Munda kept saying "Sex with Zapp"....ugh. And the scene with Fry and Leela? Oh my god it was so perfect right now like I can't even. When Fry brought up the "marriage material" thing, I was like "Ok, let's see what happens" and then how Leela reacted?! "You're getting there"?! I needed to pause the video to jump around a bit.

All in all, I really liked this episode: 9/10

Oh yeah.................sex with Zapp.

Did anyone actually find this episode ....strange? I don't know, but something just didn't seem like usual futurama to me.... I have no idea what it is - maybe I'm going crazy? But something definitely seemed off....

(This is not a bad thing however - just an observation! I actually really liked the episode)

Really good episode.
I love how Leela loves her parents and gets on with them so well. I also am glad to see that Leela didnt get feelings for Zapp, her efforts were purely to stop her mother being with a man she cant stand...
The Fry/Leela scene was just adorable. I am a shipper and seeing that scene made me   Clearly we need to see more on how their relationship is progressing but for now it looks promising.
Im glad that Leelas parents got remarried and the ending scene was so sweet.
I also loved those shark-look-a-like aliens language...

9/10 from me!!  :)

Ok now that I finally got to watch it here are some things I liked:

-The opening with Scruffy.
-Leela's face when she finds out that her mom and Zapp are in a relationship.
-All parts involving Fry and Bender.
-The development of Munda and Morris.
-Leela's many dresses throughout.
-The squeeness.

It's weird because I didn't think this episode was as good as people have been saying, but at the same time I can't give it a low ranking. I do think this is just a rehash of Proposition Infinity, but it was done a lot better. The surfing subplot made sense for the character but didn't really have anything to do with the rest of the story. I do like the idea that Munda is an adventurous person and Morris is someone who doesn't want the freedom he has. That could have developed differently without making them break-up. The whole divorce/remarried thing didn't work for me to be honest. And Munda's relationship with Zapp is so fast and ridiculous, and his character didn't seem very much like himself. They didn't have to break up the characters, it was unnecessary in my opinion. However it flowed a lot better and it was just a good character episode. It's weird how it does fail for me on a big level but it also did seem more Classic Futurama than other episodes. Again that's how I felt about last weeks, and that makes me happy knowing there's this feeling again that we can actually have episodes that were like the ones in the original run.

8/10

The best part about having episodes that feel classic is that this time us shippers have something to be really excited about.

Fry and Leela: 10/10

Post of doom x_X though seriously I didn't want to double post so here's a compilation

-Leela's making childish noises. Didn't fit her character at all, that's something Fry would do.
Maybe it's a side effect of dating/being around Fry (or even Bender, Bender does that too) for such a long time. Considering she's also relaying it to Fry and Bender as well, perhaps she's putting it in terms they understand xD

"Lee Lemon" is totally not the best costume to wear when trying to hide from Zapp, surely he would know it's her from last time or has it really been that long that he's forgotten?[/rant]

Zapp isn't the brightest rock in the box, you know.
I know, and it goes for a good H-Word callback but I'm surprised Leela would wear the same disguise twice. Eh, makes for a good gag so whatever. In fact there are quite a lot of references in this ep, maybe that's why I like it so much.

Is this Leela at her sexiest? Well, coming from another girl, I actually prefer the sexy Leela moments that I can laugh at. Like in Parasites Lost with her book, wrestling with Amy, her Clobberella outfit layers, and the 'Balcony Club'.

I may be the only one, but I thought the wave weapon used by the aliens were rather cool.  They had a science-fiction idea, even if based on waves.  But I like how the small ships together produced one weapon.
You're not the only one =P I know some people didn't like the ending, but I liked the sci-fi element to it and how it linked together in the end - even though the 20 key thing was a bit contrived, it gave opportunity for Morris character development and a continuity for both Morris and Mundas gifts to be used to save the day.

You know, I wonder where Leela got all of that experience pole dancing.  Thinking about it, she's perfect for it.  Strong, limber, flexible, toned.  She could probably make a decent secondary income dancing on the side if push comes to shove.

That would be an awesome episode - Fry would be torn between supporting her and beating up everyone who hoots at his captain! *rolls up sleeves and pant legs*

That was an amazing and totally unexpected moment - yes I expected something sweet, like as always when Fry comforts Leela. Came as a bigger shock to me cause I passed Frys line as flirting and didn't expect a serious answer.
Marriage material!?!

He's getting there  ;)

Although I wonder how much the next ep is going to test this seemingly strong relationship...

Well, I can't make out Leela's line, but it sure looks like Fry is mouthing "I love you" to her.
Exactly, thanks. That's what I thought too.
You're seeing what you want to see as well.
Well I thought that too and then I went back and looked at it again:

Three syllables that could translate as sounding as "I/A" short "Oh" long "U/ooo" Which could fit "I love you" but could also fit "Cows go moo"

Seriously this could be a new game! 'What did Fry say to Leela?'

May I just say I spent 30 minutes trying to grab those frame cause of the inability to pause it without a pause watermark over it - but as I was doing this it occurred to me that Fry and Leela are an 'I do' and a kiss away from having had their own wedding in the celebrating crowd. Even their best man bot is right there - foreshadowing? Or have those 30 minutes sent me kooky?

Either way this is my new fave still:

Leelas dress is begging to be re-coloured white and a white veil accessory to her hair...

I don't know, I found it to be kinda boring. Leela/Zapp centric episodes usually do that to me.

And Munda's relationship with Zapp is so fast and ridiculous
Upon rewatching the episode, it seems at least a month is supposed to have passed during their entire relationship, as indicated by Zapp. Still not long, but at least it's not like the few days it feels like. In fact, I'm surprised they even thought to throw that bit of information in there.

"How many of you who have rated it this have been watching since the first season? (i.e. you were watching it on Fox in the year 2000)"

This is utter nonsense.   I saw the first episode, live.  Did you?   I missed 3 episodes live in the first season.  This ep was great.

Happy FRYday, everyone! So yeah, definitely one of the best episodes this season by far. I'm super glad this season is starting out strong. Great episode all around! I wasn't a fan of Leela trying to seduce Zapp since I'm a huge Leela/Fry fan ( Even though I know that she was only doing so to prove that Zapp was only dating Munda to get to Leela ), but I really enjoyed the line where Fry showed some of his genius and stated that maybe Zapp isn't the only one who's marriage material, causing Leela to kiss him on the cheek and say that he's getting there. 9.5/10

I really did like this episode and gave it a solid 7 out of 10. I think I preferred episodes 1 and 2 but it was still good. I mean an episode with mutants and Zapp - it has to be good. I found it all rather amusing. Maybe the wave riding was a bit too silly but then they had to come up with an ending where Leela's Dad saves the day.

I wouldn't mind if the season would continue like this episode - more relationships, developments, less silly monsters.  :)

Man, Katey Sagal's performance was excellent in this episode, especially in that scene.  [hedonismbot] You know the one I mean. [/hedonismbot]  When she says, "You are so... right.  You're right!" to Fry, you can just feel the tension release from her, and from Leela.  I was really moved by those lines.
