As far as your point about "The Butterjunk Effect" goes, though: Based on the promos we've seen thus far, your predictions for this episode may very well be correct. Again, though, I'm trying so very hard to reserve judgement; hopefully we'll be proven wrong, and the episode will be refreshingly devoid of gender stereotypes and other tropes. It's a long shot, but you never know...
Seems we got an answer: Today's clip. Yep, I'm right about not watching that episode. (That clip just upgraded my "Decides not to watch the episode" to "Considers not watching the coming season at all") Edith says: Okay, made up my mind. Season 7, it will be my pleasure NOT knowing/watching you

"FRY AND LEELA'S BIG FLING"Source.
HELL YEAH. Finally some shipper justice! Ha!! (It could mean anything, but it sounds shippy to me) edit-Saw that clip. So. Much. SHIP. Let's just hope all of that continues....minus Amy edit-edit- Maybe THIS is why she slapped Fry! edit-edit-edit- I love Fry's face when he looks at Kif. It's like "Oh my god I am so happy I could cry. This has been my dream since the Pilot"

edit-Saw that clip. So. Much. SHIP. Heh, my first reaction to that clip was, "Hey, Leela actually referred to Fry as her boyfriend!" This was, of course, followed by mild revulsion and strong confusion, but no matter.edit-edit- Maybe THIS is why she slapped Fry! I seem to recall someone (Patric Verrone, maybe?) making a comment in the "Overclockwise" commentary during that final scene, along the lines of "Now that we're a few episodes into season seven, I know why she slaps him there." And, hey, if there is some Leela/Zapp inappropriateness in "Zapp Dingbat," that would explain Fry's earlier slapping of Leela. I'm not saying that I'm pleased by this season's seeming preoccupation with, you know, infidelity and raunchy humor, but it would be kind of neat if the writers made a conscious decision to model the Fry/Leela beats in season seven on their various reactions to the letter in "Overclockwise."

I was wondering, does anyone know where a loser canuck like me would be able to watch the season premiere?
The board forbids linking or talking about stream sites (to keep trouble away from the admins). Though, of course, everyone will know that non-US-residents like me will not take a weekly flight to the US to watch every new episode premiere live on TV. So, when we non-US-residents* write reviews about a new episode one day after its air date, there is just one possibilty where we could have seen it. (I mean: Each of us has a good buddy in the US, who will record the new episode on his/her DVD recorder, and sends us the DVD via express ) So, you should ask your good friend in the US to record and send you a DVD. Unless, of course, you think the "good friend in the US" was an ironic expression, and I really meant some other way to watch the new episodes... A way I considered inappropriate to be mentioned on the board here... *at least those who cannot recieve American television
