1. This belongs in GD, not the HR Dept.

2. There are already two threads at least that are about this topic and are open.

3. Lists are cool.

I found it when it first started airing in Australia in, like, 2000 or something (so, when I was seven or eight) but then in season 2 they cancelled it or moved it to a really late timeslot that no one watches.

I always had fond memories of it but I thought it had been lost to me forever. Then, in 2004 I stumbled across one of the DVDs, bought it (and then all of the other ones) and fell in love with the show all over again.

When I was 2 or 3 in 2000/01 my dad and I used to watch TV shows like The Simpsons, South Park, King Of the Hill and Family Guy. Around that time Futurama started on Channel 4 and me and my dad taped every episode we could.

Then your father was raped and murdered by a propane salesman, and you stopped watching King of the Hill. Now you watch Futurama every night in an attempt to keep his spirit alive.

One day, you will smear your cheeks with woad and your buttocks with the excrement of a vagrant, then have your vengence. One day.

I began watching Futurama the same way most people did: using my eyeballs.

I was on a school trip in Florida, and we were in the hotel room one night. I was channel surfing and saw Futurama on and my friend always talks about it and so I watched it and fell in love. First episode I ever watched was "Less Than Hero".

Don't know how/when/why, but I do remember bender losing both his arms, and somehow managing to put em back on to his body. Fry responding "I don't even know how you did that", from that moment on I realized how good this series would become, and watched happily ever after

First I ever saw of Futurama was the ending of TKOS, when Fry's message gets sucked into the implosion.  It was completely out of context and I didn't know who 'Leela' was, but I remember being moved by that scene even lacking the context.

Well, the way I got to it is pretty similar to the ways you guys did.
Watched TV in a hotel when I was about 4 or 5. I think it was Fear of a Bot Planet, when it originally came out in Germany and Bender held his speech towards all the robots that all humans had to be killed. After that, I never watched Futurama again, but the concept for a robot like Bender burned into my mind forever. Also, I've always been into Science Fiction.
Someday in early 2010 when I re-programmed an old VCR (which became my main VCR with Futurama :D ) I stumbled across a music channel which had Futurama on. I recognized Bender straight and watched that episode to its end.
Then I wanted to go online to find out more about the series, which led me to take this old Pentium II computer, install DSL (Damn Small Linux) on it and finally to register on here.

This. I then ran to tell my sister how awesome it was. Then I distinctly remember the bit of The Series Has Landed where Farnsworth says "But I am already in my pyjamas" - unfortunately my parents were watching the TV too and even though they loved the Simpsons at the time they immediately went "What is this devilry!?!" and I didn't see Futurama again until around the time that Amazon Women in the Mood aired. I can't actually remember the set of circumstances that got me back in to it, but I was pretty much latched on to it from there on in. Still don't think my parents have fully accepted Futurama; it was years before my mum stopped calling you all my "Leela friends". :nono:

I went to a friend's place some time in 2005, and he had hired Season 4. We watched it to death and some time later I caught it on TV, and have been hooked ever since.

After I become a fan of The Simpsons I found out Futurama in 2007. First episodes I saw were in season 1 dvd. And before I even realised that Futurama was cancelled I bought BBS. Soon after that Futurama was my favorite show.

I found out Futurama on Adult Swim back in 2005. I remember they used to show episodes before/or sometimes after Family Guy. Back then I would just leave that channel on during the night alot, and that's how I found out Futurama. I had no idea it was canceled until I got Internet. I looked it up, and I was shocked. But when BBS came out, I was excited! But the rest were mehh. Then I remember back when it came back in 2010, I stuck around for the episodes and didn't give up from the 4 beginning stinkers. Now i'm glad Futurama is back. and I love this fantastic T.V Show!

The first episode I saw from AS was "Amazon Women In The Mood". They used to show that one alot. As well as "I Dated a Robot", which I thought was a pretty good ep.

I've never watched a large amount of TV outside of sports and news, so I'm a bit late to the party. I had heard about it when it first came out, but was never really curious enough to watch it. I vaguely remember watching it on Adult Swim once or twice but ultimately forgot about it. I would watch it and enjoy it casually on Comedy Central when it was revived, but It wasn't until recently that I started showing a large interest in the show and watching it week to week. Thanks to the Internet and re-runs I caught up over the course of a few months and now it's one of my favorite shows and easily my favorite animated show.
