Fry had gone through a lot of trouble to get his new brain piecing, and was quite wary of the extra large piecing extractors the professor was holding as he admired the shiny protruding metal. Fry wondered where would be the best spot to shove the crutches into if he even dare try.

There's no hard rule that I know of but just check the timing of previous wins, I guess. Either way it's your turd— er, your win to give out so the choice is yours. If you take too long, someone will usually prompt you with a reminder. And if too soon, the game moves on a bit faster. No big deal either way
