I got high hopes for the whole rest of the season. Heck, I've felt that way since "The Inhuman Torch". Episode had a very Classic Futurama feel to it. I can't believe we're already half-way through the new season. I'd better start typing up a good bye speech to Futurama.
Of course, this isn't it. But here's something it might look like:
Show severely changed my life since I found it on Adult Swim. Ahh, at first I wasn't so crazy for it, and would just watch it because Family Guy was after. I preferred Family Guy when I was younger since I thought it was funnier back then. But once my Sci-Fi taste buds came in (or more notably, Puberty started), I slowly creeped out of my cave to check it out once more. Before I knew it, I started to totally dig it. I eventually found the website known as FuturamaEpisodes.org. I watched every single episode off of there. When I was done, the sixth season was weeks away. So really, it was perfect timing. I've tuned in to every episode since then. Do not regret it, (except for Yo Leela Leela, my best friend was over when that aired. To think of what I could have done in that Half Hour...). Anyways, just felt like sharing this once more, cause I just love the experiences I had with this show.

I have this weird feeling that the final seven will ALL be great.
And that the regular writers just simply got burned out for a bit, somewhere after that great "Viva Mars Vegas" episode.

Oh my, it looks like they also have the finished act two for us to actually watch! Comedy Central said no but Groening adds what can they do, cancel them again? Haha, nice one Matt. ( Source.) The audience was then shown the animated second act. I don't want to give too much away but it involves Fry and Leela's epic romance and time travel. To say the second act ended on a cliffhanger would be an understatement. Source. Ballroom 20 standing ovation for #Futurama. Very emotional. And awesome. WARNING, MAJOR SPOILERS FOR 7ACV26 - "MEANWHILE" - THIS IS BASICALLY THE ENTIRE FIRST AND SECOND ACT:The cast kicks off the panel with a table reading of the first act of the episode's series finale, "Meanwhile." The episode finds Fry (West), Leela (Sagal) and Bender (John DiMaggio) making a delivery to the moon and visiting a theme park. After a ride accident, Leela seemingly dies.
Luckily, all is well. She was trapped inside a stuffed animal. Really. The close call was too much for Fry to handle, and he announces to Bender that he's going to finally propose to Leela.
Meanwhile, Professor Farnsworth (West) invents a device that lets him travel 10 seconds into the past. Naturally, he uses it to steal money from Zoidberg. What else will you do with 10 seconds? Fry takes the time machine to steal diamonds, along with Bender.
He uses the stolen diamonds to fashion an engagement ring, which he hides in a clam. When he presents it to Leela, she reaches for the ring and the clam snaps shut, severing her hand and a bloody stump.
Next, Groening presents the second act of the finale, completely finished. Fry still has the time traveling decide and uses it to go back and save Leela from losing her hand. He proposes and tells Leela to meet him on top of the Vampire State Building if she'll marry him. When he thinks Leela misses the time she was supposed to meet him, Fry takes that as a no to the proposal and jumps from the top of the building.
However, he sees Leela approaching the building as the building as he falls and realizes that his clock is wrong due to all the time-traveling. He tries to go back and save himself by using the device, but ten seconds before, he's still falling from the building. He keeps himself in a time loop, reliving those ten seconds over and over until he loses his grip on the device and hits the ground in front of Leela, leaving a pile of blood and guts at her feet.
The third act will stay a secret until September 4, and will hopefully find a way to make sure Fry doesn't die. Source.

Okay, that sounds so much more awesome than I would^ve imagined. Tough I think the original meaning for that device is a bit crazy, even for the professor...

Random guess on what could happen:
Ultra Guy goes to get the stolen diamonds back from Fry and in the process he inadvertently saves him. Maybe, but how could he save Fry if he was already dead? The only logical way for that to happen, is if he gets the 10-second machine when Fry loses grip. Even so, it still wouldn't make much sense. Cause that could eventually make him an antagonist.

True. I just don't exactly like how Leela falls off a ride and lands on a stuffed animal. Then she's actually alright. Another thing I don't like, is how Fry decides to kill himself because he took Leela not coming as a No. Like isn't he kinda used to getting rejected from Leela? -_- I do like how Fry decides to Propose to Leela. And how we finally get to see Fry and Bender rob a place together! Also, the use of the 10-second time device seems to be perfect! I just hope they give us a good reason on Fry's coming back to life. Maybe we get to see the Rebirth machine again. Then the third act seems to be where everything gets crazy, since the episode is described as a "emotional warfest". And so far, nothing seems emotional yet.

I'm starting to read that FX might pick up Futurama. It's pretty much on Forums similar to ours. No real proof behind it, but it would definitely be interesting if they did.

Fox does seem to be expanding their animation programming block. I'm not entirely sure what is going on with the network's animation blocks or branch channel (in fact I'm 78% sure that I'm not using the appropriate television terminology). I would think that FX is a major contender as a new home for Futurama considering it is a branch of Fox and has a fairly strong summer line-up with Wilfred, Louie, and Anger Management. Though Fox was the original network for Futurama, thus they were the original network to cancel it, they sure as hell are better than TBS. TBS ran Futurama reruns for less than a year at like two in the morning. That's it. I think they may have had a short clip or two in promos for their late night block, but they were still pretty shitty to Futurama. Which brings this up: other than Fox's "Animation Domination" block on Sundays and myNetworkTV (which has as of recently decreased its showing from two to one on weekdays), The Simpsons doesn't air on any other channel (as far as I know in the United States.) In comparison, Family Guy airs either once or twice each weekday on myNetworkTV, several times a day on TBS, back-to-back on Adult Swim, as well as once or twice each Sunday on Fox.

Hey, he's called Ultra Guy, we don't know what powers he has yet.
The text mentions Fry going through the jump loop, until he loses grip on the 10 second button. We do not know what happens to said button: Someone else could catch it, going back before the bloody splash. This could be handled by Leela (given she knows about that device). Yet, someone still has to catch Fry. As this feat would not be possible for a human (given the height, weight, and falling speed, Fry and his wannabe saviour would both be killed in an attempted catch), that task would be suitable for Ultraman to come into play. Theoretically also Bender has such above human strength: Yet, the "catching people falling from skyscraper" is just such an overobvious classic superhero theme.

Every week right before they play the new episode, they play the previous week's one. I'm sure they also have some other incentives, such as a boost to DVD sales if fans happen to have missed a few episodes.

It is now apparent that Comedy Central doesn't care about Futurama at all. Like TMC said, they seem to play a lot of repeats; just this past Sunday afternoon, they had a marathon of some season four episodes ("Less Than Hero," "Obsoletely Fabulous," and Devil's Hands) and capped it with a repeat of "Saturday Morning Fun Pit." And I think they show at least an hour's worth of episodes every weekday, somewhere around three or four o'clock in the afternoon. It sucks that Comedy Central canceled the show and all (in theory, that is; I'm actually fine with this being the last season), but they certainly don't seem to have done so with as much malice as Fox did. I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say the network doesn't care about Futurama anymore.
