"Amarutuf" is apparently the name of the season finale (not the non-canon three segmented one, that is "Saturday Morning Fun Pit") with the device that reverses time by 10 seconds...

Wasn't it "Fry & Leela's Big Fling"?

I thought that "Fry & Leela's Big Fling" was just a working title.  Backwards "Futurama" works for me.

There's an upcoming episode of Family Guy called "Yug Ylimaf" in which Stewie causes time to run backwards.

Interesting similarity if not the source of an unfounded rumour?

I will grant that, orthographically, that's a clever title; however, it's a total bitch to pronounce. :p

Revived Futurama goes philosophical

I can appreciate their enthusiasm, but is it really right to say that Futurama has gone philosophical (and, as the first paragraph says, gotten extra-nerdy), as it if weren't that way before? Did they not see "Godfellas," for example?

For the most part, I think that Futurama, much like Bender, has always appreciated the finer things: poetry...philosophy...hats. ;)

Futurama was always pretty philosophical, by my reckoning. They're just subversive about it, the sneaks.

Wait, a God that is just waves of data, possibly in binary? I couldn't help but think of Godfellas when I read this.

someone wants me to post this:

if Futurama ends next year (depending on how the DVD’s sell), it could be renewed for 2014. it’s up in the air now. if it did end, all the fans on message boards who bashed the new season since its comeback will feel regret. you’ll feel bad about how much time you wasted complaining about the characters. it's been "Bender's dominating Futurama" or "Leela's a psychopath" & even "Bender episodes are hit or miss." what kind of episodes do you want? do you wanna see Fry & Leela be “Joanie & Chachi” with each other & all the episodes revolve around them & their relationship? or an episode where Leela gets kidnapped by Zapp clones & Fry leads an uprising to rescue her? (a similar event happened to her in a recent comic book). or one about the crew going to a clock planet & Bender pranks the clocks & they chase the crew, kidnap Leela, & auction her off, & Fry and Bender beat up the clocks? then they discover it wasn’t the real Leela & they find out she’s in a warehouse, they beat up more clocks, save her, & Fry & Leela passionately kiss? this year’s Bender episodes are cool! would you rather see a Zapp episode? you’ll regret bashing the new seasons ‘cause of continuity errors, the F/L relationship wasn't the main primary focus, & talking over & over again about what you don’t like about the new season. you’ll realize you didn’t take the time to see how awesome & radical the new seasons really are! then you’ll wish Futurama was back again! also, Futurama fans will feel repentance ‘cause the only thing some fans think Futurama is all about is the Fry/Leela relationship. it just shows how dense some people are. what about the adventures the crew goes on? what about the social commentary, the rips on celebrities & politicians, & pop culture references? there’s more to Futurama then the F/L relationship. wouldn't you like to see Amy, Hermes, & Zoidberg go on an adventure? also, people hate when 2 different characters have their own adventures like Nibbler & Amy, Lrrr & Leela, & Bender & Hermes. I love seeing that! isn't that what's wrong with the internet & today's society? always trying to find fault so we can have an excuse to complain? the new seasons since 2010 are excellent & wonderful. sure, there’s been a few disappointments just like everything else in life but the whole show isn’t a disappointment at all. I'm happy it came back. why can't people just be happy with what they have? that's why the American Economy collapsed. so, if it’s really ending next year, all of you that complained will beg to see it come back again! I doubt it will end after next year. it will be back. like it always says, It Can Never Stay Dead!

NOTE: the person isn’t talking about me. the person understands my opinion. the favorite episodes of the person are The Six Million Dollar Mon and The Thief of Baghead

yes i hate Season 7 'cause of the sadness, the chaos, angel wings being eaten, the ruined clothes, & the fake Fry & Leela romance but there's some stuff i like. i got to see Fry's underpants, there's some joy, & i laughed at some stuff

Usually when people dislike an episode, it's for a number of reasons. Not just one. And I've never seen anyone here who came to dislike the entire show because of one bad episode.

my friend also wants to add this: ever since Futurama came back in 2010, have fans been happy? no. all fans have done is complain. you're complaining about how much the DVD movies, the new episodes, the new seasons, the characters, & comic books suck. what's with that? it seems like people only like episodes that are about the Fry/Leela relationship. i for one love the new seasons of Futurama since it came back in 2010. love the DVD movies, too! everytime after an episode airs, people always give it negative comments. only 1% of episodes get positive comments. i don't see anything different about the new seasons. Futurama is as better than ever. i don't care about continuity or the Fry/Leela relationship. all you do is over-analyze about what you don't like about it. what do people want to watch? MTV's teen sitcoms, reality shows, singing shows, & more seasons of The Simpsons? what tv show would you rather have had come back? Malcolm in the middle? that show stole Futurama's thunder

You're allowed to enjoy something without liking every single last thing about it.

Me: "My wife annoyed me so much the other day, talking while I was trying to catch the neighbor's dog pooping on our lawn."

I can only think of a couple of people on this forum who actually dislike the new run. You're looking at the vocal minority.
I loved season 6, and liked season 7. Sure, some of us have done some complaining, but that's because we want the show to be as good as possible.

I judge each episode on it's own.

The entire series is hit and miss.

But it's mostly gold.

Honestly some of the best and worst episodes have come out of the new run, so it's pretty much all the the same to me.

That's exactly how I feel, and I'm fine with that. I'd rather have a season full of both gems and stinkers as opposed to one with episodes that are merely good.

I am concerned about Futurama's future past next broadcast season. Last season, due to a number of factors ranging from a new night of the week, various holidays and sporting events going on during new episode broadcasts, and a large television provider dropping all Viacom channels due to negotiation conflicts.

If "Brickleberry" gets renewed but "Futurama" doesn't, heads will roll.

Unmentionable, it was rather annoying that you on FMMB started every new episode thread each time only giving 0/10.  Just because Fry got hurt.

That strikes me as very biased and negative (throwing to much of your personal feelings into it) about your reviews for episodes.

Not only that you wanted us all to shut and stop liking the episodes you don't like.

You in a nutshell.
