"Mother's Day" on Sunday the 18th March, Mother's Day. (The UK Mother's Day.)

I think it's the first time I've watched a themed episode on the day it is themed around...

Bender's Game. A few days ago. Just to confirm that my memories of it were accurate. I had said it was mainly purile, forced jokes about sex and shitting. It turns out I was right. That said, there are some amusing parts, and a few sweet shots of the PX ship in flight. It's not a totally worthless film, just not a patch on TBWABB or ITWGY.

The last one I watched was The Farnsworth Parabox, it was about two weeks ago and I enjoyed it very much again. Good solid ep, lots of great humour and visuals. I also watched 300 Big Boys during the same sitting actually. Not as good, but still had some good jokes and was pretty fun...

Law and Oracle, and it was kinda WTF.  It had some funny bits, but it makes me nervous that our beloved Futurama may be dangerously close to jumping the shark.  Futurama is a show that is very effective at humorously mocking itself, but I thought it was a little over-the-top in LAO.

Still not as bad as Yo Leela Leela, though.

Oh god no. Law & Oracle was for sure a shining moment of the show, and without a doubt a good highlight of 6B. The pacing was nicely done, the humor was perfect, and the story was fairly interesting. Also, I haven't seen references in an episode this good since Where No Fan Has Gone Before. I mean come on; Police Academy, Tron, Minority Report, and others. Fantastic.

Meh, I didn't dig it all that much.  I mean, it wasn't OMGSOTERRIBLE, but definitely not one of my favorites. Maybe it's just the overall feel of the more recent episodes that makes me twitch.

I actually thought the references were a bit excessive in this one.  Like the writers were short on ideas or something.  It did make me want to re-watch Minority Report, though! I think I was like 10 when the movie came out.

I dug out an old videotape that I saved of 'Love and Rocket'.  This was a great episode.  Really exemplified Fry and Leela when they struggled over a romantic relationship.

Saw 'Godfellas' too..."Too Much God, Not Enough Senseless Killing."

I seem to recall a thread from a few weeks ago that was conceptually very similar to this, except it was berated for even being created and finally locked within a couple days. A few people that are contributing to this thread were the same people who tore the other one apart, even though they're pretty much the same.

Honestly, I don't really care if either thread exists or not, but what's with the inconsistency?

Eh, I was going to post about futile this thread seemed. But then I couldn't be bothered.

But yeah, I think both threads are stupid.

I was thinking the same thing. The only reason this thread still exists is because of the quality of the posting (Minus posts # 1, 2, and 10). People actually seem to have things to say beyond the episode title and a # rating.

Brannigan, Begin Again

I was rewatching the commentaries on disc 1 of Season 2, and had to go back and watch BBA once more without commentary. This episode has always been near the top of my list of funniest episodes ever. I love the Neutrals, more of Zapp's incompetence and how Kif and Zapp stick together while homeless and jobless (filling up on that fattening hobo cuisine). The second half is good and funny as well, but I mostly enjoy Zapp's fall from, uh...grace(?) and the homeless scenes. On an uninteresting side note, I truly hate Leela for trying to make Zapp, Fry and Bender carry the pillows one-by-one BY HAND instead of using the backup dolly. Man what a bitch. I give the episode an 8.5/10 though.

It's a great episode. Quite possibly my favourite of Season 2 actually. The first half is by far my favourite, but the lines from the neutrals are real standouts as well.

As a matter of fact, practically everything that comes out of Zapp's mouth is pure gold.

I completely forgot about that, and I think everyone else did to. :laff:

Agreed pumpkin pie, it has such a powerful feeling behind it.

Anyway, I got the idea that since my Dad moved and got a new credit card, we could start a One Month Free Trial on Netflix. It's been Months since I had it. I watched Jurassic Bark, another great episode.

I watched Where The Buggalo Roam a few days ago. I still thoroughly enjoyed it, so many funny moments, especially with Zapp. Dr Zoidberg was also rather amusing annoying Amy's parents. I liked the resolution to the plot, and I liked that it's all set on Mars, a Western but on Mars. I fail to understand why so many rate this ep so lowly, it's really rather good...

It's been a while since I've watched any episodes, but I think the most recent is "Ghost in the Machines", with commentary. And with that, I've heard the commentary of all of season 6. :)

The last episode that I remember seeing was Roswell That Ends Well and that was back in end of December/early January while I was in England. I need to watch it more I've just not had time to.

Last ones I saw were the ones that aired last weekend - Crimes of the Hot and Bender Should Not be Allowed on TV. Two ehhh episodes, though Crimes of the Hot had some particularly quotable lines like, "Windmills do not work that way! Goodnight" and "...and then gets maaaaad" <---I say that last line all the time lol.

A good portion of my friends find Futurama to be unfunny, boring, and "gay". Clearly, my friends don't even have the tiniest strand of a sense of humor.

I had the same problems when I was your age. None of my friends recoginised the show's excellence, and dismissed it as a children's show.

And five years later, I'm still into it.

To quote my friend:

"{My last name}, I watched an episode of Futurama on CC; and it fucking sucked ass. Watch the show Good Vibes, that's funny shit. But not your gay crap."

Good Vibes, is in fact a terrible show. I'm actually a bit embarrassed to admit I like it because I hate being judged. "Oh, he likes that gay show Futurama." "Don't talk to him, he thinks Futurama is funny." "His favorite show is Futurama, what a loser."

Yeah...

Yeah, I hate the school system. I'm sorta high up in the chain though (If you catch my drift), and I don't want to be a total loner who talks to himself, sits by himself at lunch, and where's Futurama shirts to school like everyday.

I have convinced certain friends to get into it. My plan is, when the group is big enough; I can easily go about talking about everyday, non stop. Just discussing, reviewing, and speculating about Futurama.  Utopia will be mine.

Watched "Raging Bender" yesterday.

An okay episode, which has its moments, as well as the introductions of some memorable characters, such as Abner Doubledeal and Fnog. It is, however, of lower quality compared to other season 2 episodes, as well as other Bender-centric episodes.

Nonetheless, it's still, overall, an enjoyable episode. 7.5/10.
