PEE Poll: I only wanted to post a general topic but it's insisting that I make a poll before it will let me post. Ah well. I guess I'll ask something then. Why do you think Yancy said that his male ancestors all had the same name when his supposed father was Enos?
Mildred lied because she had a one night stand and didn't know anything about Philip.   -0 (0%)
Enos actually did father Yancy in the first ever timeline and had two names that he used interchangeably. Like a first and middle name or a real name and nickname.   -0 (0%)
Yancy senior is lying to Yancy junior in an attempt to make him more accepting of his name.   -0 (0%)
Phil mixed up his grandads and Enos was actually his mother's father in the first timeline.   -0 (0%)
Something else that I haven't thought of.   -1 (100%)

Hi people! :D And robots... And aliens... And mutants... And animals. :)
I'm new here. (So please be patient with me!)

In Luck of the Fryrish Phil's dad Yancy says that his father and grandfather etc. were all called Yancy.
In Roswell That Ends Well Fry's supposed grandad is named Enos and (unless Phil got this wrong) he is definitely not Phil's mom's dad cuz Phil shouts "It's gonna be OK dad!" or something like that at Enos' crotch.
So Yancy couldn't know his dad's name if Mildred didn't know it...?

You can post a thread without a poll. It's not hard.

Also, we already have a thread about this topic, so a mod will probably merge your post with that one.

Welcome to PEEL. :)

The actual quote is:

Son, your name is Yancy, just like me and my grandfather and so on.

So no, Fry's paternal grandfather was not named Yancy, just his father, his great-grandfather and so on.
