I think I've kind of lost interest in the whole F/L thing now, we obviously know what's gonna happen between them due to the paper in Overclockwise, so what's the point of being all like "No Leela don't sleep with that guy, Fry needs you!" etc. when we know in the end it's all gonna work out?

I think the F/L thing was at it's high point in BBS.

I guess for me it's just the ride/journey etc. because we don't know the specifics of how they end up at all.  I enjoy the drama of the romantic interplay between those two.  It's always gonna be there, regardless of their relationship status.

It's funny to me how so many discussions always boil down to the F/L ship because it's the most glaring "to be the status quo or not to be" in the whole series.  It's important to people and the developers know that whatever decisions they make are going to affect a very dedicated and passionate fanbase.

We should probably take this conversation here and stop spamming this spread with shippiness. :p

MY LEG FEELS FUNNY with excitement! The killbots were the best thing about "Lethal Inspection" and Destructor is always great...

(Only just noticed the robots at the front, don't now how I missed them :p)

Makes me wonder why Bender is so invested in this, or maybe this is a b plot that has nothing to do with the election.

It maybe a b-plot to stop any elections once and for all. Probably the Mom's BIG ambitions.

Awe. SOME.

I love how Bender is so random and unpredictable in the things that he chooses to support. One minute he's raising funds to help broken robots, and the next he's leading a penguin army, or trying to kill all humans. And regardless of what it is, I usually find myself rooting for him.

Huh. You think that's why Bender shouldn't be allowed on TV?

I think Destructor's scale has always been situation dependent.

Yeah. In his debut appearance he was only a little fella, and in TBWABB Leela, Amy, and Zapp could only just fit inside his leg.

It's been a few years though. He might have grown. Robots grow, right?

Damn. My comment was meant to be a joke, but now it's ruined by the fact they do grow.

And I guess what we've seen of "The Bots and the Bees" suggests they grow as well.

That wasn't really natural robot aging though. For like... magic robot aging. Not that there's really a difference between the two though. :p

Yep. Reminds me of the Amazonians, whose size did range from "About two heads taller than a human" to "more than double as tall".
(Though with Bender standing on Dstructors shoulder and the "hiding in the leg" scene, those size increases had a scene-related reason, while the Amazonian scenes could have been done with a constant size).

Robots seem to have a mix of both miraculous technology (the ability to "age") and tech that would be obsolete in our time (floppy drives).  I suppose that goes for all of Futurama though.

I'd love see them try to explain robot ageing - I think Farnsworth will during BatB, as he usually does when something strange happens.

I think TBATB will be about Ben growing at a rapid pace, eventually becoming some kind of unstoppable/evil super robot/computer that the crew have to defeat.

Cue sadness for Bender.

At least we know he won't be bending the world into submission.  I wonder if Ben is going to have some other skill that Bender can't do at all, like lifting?

I'm assuming the storyboard says 'Future Bender' due to the Robot Army thing being a flashforward? Unless there is even more time travelling, AND YES BBS CALLBACK! :D

Also, why does Bender say he's low on bullets when that gun fires lasers?

Also also, why does Bender need those sunglasses, I thought it was only "really bright in the past."? :p

I'm just glad that gun is making a comeback. That thing is sweet.  I loved the part in BBS when he is about to blow up Panucci's and he has to hit that gun to get it to work.  It's the little things like that.  :)
